Chiron in Aries with the Sun highlights wounded lessons to learn surrounding our sense of independence, with the moon reflecting this within our partnerships. We learned many lessons in love, value, and harmony while Venus was retrograde. This lunation shows that there is power in vulnerability and it’s time to step out of the protective shell of hyper-independence. Harmony is what moves us forward.

The Bigger Picture

I tell people to be a good Astrologer you need to know astronomy, history, economics, relationship dynamics, human behavior, cultural differences, religious concepts, philosophy, and have a decent amount of common sense. When you consider astrology from these perspectives you come to learn that while YOU are important it's not always about YOU. It's about humanity.

You're not here to "save" humanity, but you are here to have a place or a role in it. What I choose will be different from what you choose, but both of us can "serve" humanity if we decide to. And I don't have to sacrifice "me" in order to do it. Literally, if I am ME then I am serving humanity.

That is the teaching of today's power-packed alignments as the Sun and Chiron conjunct in Aries @ 23°, helping you to see yourself as "healed" rather than "broken" or "victim." After this we enjoy a Full Moon at 23° Libra at 8:22pm ET, and less than an hour later Venus, the ruler of Libra, goes direct at 24°, her grand master degree.

Be a part of humanity, even if it is wacky out there right now. Pick up the phone and call someone - don't text. Engage with someone in a kind way that you may disagree with. Smile at strangers. Pray for those who have lost their way. Be the love you profess you believe in.

Venus stationed Direct on 1/28 in sidereal Sagittarius! ✨

Since 10/31/21, we have been focused on our “relationship story,” or the stories we tell ourselves about relationships based on what our experiences in relationships have been so far. Venus Rx asks us to reassess if our “story” is accurate to what is actually happening in front of us, or if we are trying to apply old lessons to new situations that require us to grow. This is a time when we have had to consider if our beliefs hold up to reality and face the tension that comes with our relationship partners have differing/opposing views.

In a lot of ways, it has really drawn attention to something that has been happening most of the pan/demic: Nobody can agree on what is real or not real. Cannot agree what sources of information are valid, what the current rules are for stopping the spread, or even if the vi/rus is real in some cases. Half of the country hasn’t left their house in months and the other half is partying like there’s no tomorrow. A big part of this is the way the pan/demic has been politicized for economic gain… making our politics a key factor in who we choose to be in relationship with. This has caused a lot of conflict over the holiday season, when people are expected to gather in large groups for cultural, mostly religious celebrations while a new variant spread like wildfire.

This is a good time to consider how your spiritual, religious, political and economic beliefs have been tested in your relationships over the past few months. It’s also a good time to revisit these questions I posed back when Venus first entered Sagittarius:
