venus on pluto is not so unusual but this one is special because a retrograde later on will cause venus to make multiple passes over this point. the result is, in a somewhat oversimplified explanation, that this conjunction is much longer than usual. what happens now is reflected again when she retrogrades back over it and again when she passes on finally direct to leave the point. this is also a region of the sky where pluto has been plunked down for quite a long time; the saturn conjunction with pluto at the beginning of the present pandemic (feels like forever ago, right?) was also near here.
