It all started one day when I was talking with @xxsycamore about Mopoleon and selfships. That's when I thought it would be really cool to host a selfship event.

However, at the time I was busy and I knew that if I was to host an event I'd need time to go through all the entries I might get and leave feedback. Not to mention I was a little nervous cause I know most people think of selfships as cringe and whatnot, so I gave the idea another thought.

I honestly, couldn't stop thinking about selfships but I was not sure how to write one, as silly as that sounds, cause I hadn't written any before.

Thus, I began a one-way journey to the world of selfships. Unfortunately, I found nothing online that would help me write a selfship, so what I did was try to find the answers to the questions invading my mind on my own.

What tense should I use?

In what person should I write?

Once I found the answers, I wrote my first and proper selfship fic. It felt freeing cause I didn't have to hide behind x reader or an OC anymore and it was a lot of fun!

However, it felt like the selfship event I had in mind needed a twist. That's when I remembered all the mean anons I got about small boobs and Jin and how he wouldn't love and even go as far as cheating on a partner whose chest was small. Yeah, I know, wild... but that got me to realize that the members of this big fandom could use some self-love.

I discussed my idea with @lorei-writes and she was so excited about it that it hyped me up 🙈 she helped me plan the whole thing, helped me with the instructions, and even made the banner 🥺💜

All that was left was to wait for the perfect time to post it which came earlier than I thought!
