Hey, so a couple of months ago I gave the reboot version of Charmed a chance, and it’s not horrible. I mean the show is very fast paced, they went through like 3 seasons of OG charmed in a one season, which I get because they didn’t know they were getting a season 2, however personally I would have rather they had taken their time with the show, because the sisters bond way to fast and off screen most of the time. When something sad would happen, I found I didn’t care much for it. Other than a few funny scenes here and there. I found reboot Charmed to be missing there mark. I’ve give it credit for following the source material unlike other sources.

5 Things The Original Charmed Does Better Than The Reboot (& 5 Things It Doesn’t)

Charmed fans might be divided between the original and the reboot, but the original had a few things in its favor.

I think both shows have their merits. To be honest, I think I enjoy the reboot more than the original, but there are a lot of things the original series died well that the reboot can learn from.

Honestly I'm so exhausted about the people who are uselessly mad at the Charmed reboot for “ruining their childhoods” and yell it to whomever-may-hear at least ten times a day on the twitter.com and elsewhere. Are you that tired of happy thoughts that you need to hate on something that literally hurts no one and is, most importantly, aimed at a new generation of viewers?  Especially something that is more inclusive than 90% of the tv landscape: a trio of outspoken women of color who love each other, one of them a lesbian! and they’re on screen all the time!!! where else do you see that??? Why be mad about something that can bring joy, or at least fun, and representation to people who really, really, really need it in this day and age??? Move on with your life, I don’t know? Be mad about it once and go?? Don’t get me wrong folks, this isn’t to say that there isn’t a handful of constructive criticism to be brought to the table about the show’s often choppy and rushed storytelling, but overall it’s a cute, aesthetically pleasing teen show with lovable, empathetic, badass, diverse characters that love each other and practice magic in a modern world, fighting off obscure forces that attempt to ruin their vibe. It has a shit ton of good messages about love, family, friendships, kindness..., it is filled with heartwarming scenes of sisterly love and it definitely, definitely has better CGI than the awful, granulated stuff that my poor Halliwells, god bless em, had to deal with back in the days. 

I don’t know...if you want to be mad at something so bad, take your anger to a children franchise that’s in theaters right now and has one of the lead roles played by a known and proven abuser, will ya.  (*cough*something that rhymes with ‘fantastic dicks, the slime of romuald*cough*) That type of creative decision is what’s worth throwing anger at. Let my Vera-Vaughn babies alone, they’re hurting no one and they make me happy. thank u, next.
