@verdantstride: because it is the lease of their worries?
"how long have you been around cyno, again?"
"material items are the easiest to acquire as a display of liking someone," tighnari says — tail swaying contently as he held a scarab in his hands, "but objects pale in comparison to being there for that special someone when they're at their lowest. sadness, anger, insecurity . . . just being by their side and not judging them for these days goes a long way." he holds the scarab out to razor — a silent invitation for the other to touch if he wanted.
fox uses bigger words, like teacher does. if he remembers right, lisa said they went to the same learning place. school. maybe that's why he sounds so smart. razor is intuitive, though, and catches on very quickly to what meaning it is tighnari wants to convey. time was a precious thing, something meant to be cared for and cherished with those you truly wanted to spend it on. time confused wolfkin, sometimes, in how you couldn't hold it in your hands. you couldn't weigh it with words. but at the very least, he knows time was a gift.
a gift he could give to the one he cherished.
red eyes fall to the scarab between them, clawed hand reaching up - tentative at first, before he touches it with the tips of his fingers, "...think i understand," he responds quietly, "i never judge him. he never judge me. it's why i want to stay together."
DIONSAURS IN SUMERU \\ @verdantstride //
TEMPORAL SPATIAL RIFTS WERE ALWAYS SUCH A HEADACHE. A tear in the spatial channels leads to a connection being made from points A to B. To boil it down, Dinosaurs were in Sumeru Jungle, trying to find their way home. All he had to do was close the rift, and the Dinosaurs would fade- They were a headache, but that didn't mean it was difficult. He just had to find the epicenter of the rift. However, he found that it would be more than an enlightening experience- because not only were there dinosaurs but there was an infant in the jungle- probably separated in the confusion of the Dinosaurs' and their arrival.
At the sight of the child, this man with silver hair and soft blue eyes knelt- wearing tan jeans, dusty white sneakers, a vanilla t-shirt, and a brown waistcoat with a cream-collared neck cravat. He wore a blue Navy coat that dropped down to the knees, but he was WRAPPED in a beautiful and bright multicolored scarf! Greens, yellows, whites, reds, browns, and purples! He had this bright smile- almost as if he was some type of Santa clause, and he spoke like he was this child's grandfather.
"Hello there-!" He tried to remain calm, as he didn't want to frighten the herd of dinosaurs or the child, so he remained perfectly calm and as friendly as possible. "I'm sorry, it seems like you might be lost." He sits on a knee and pats the kid's head before looking around. He wore a cream-colored fedora with a blue ribbon. He removed it and held it over his chest while he looked out for any nearby adults. It seems they had all fled in panic. The rift must be in the center of the city, the herd of Dinsoaurs got thicker and higher numbered there.
"I'm afraid it would be irresponsible to leave you here, but I'm also the only one who knows about temporal-spatial rifts... and I'm on the clock..." He hums slightly. "It looks like you'll have to come with me..." He pursed his lip and slid his hat back on. "Oh well, it shan't be too bad! You can watch my back for any Tyrannosaurs Rexs!"

"tighnari, i will explain the joke to you. an upgrade is a good thing. when you add 'up' to grade, it turns into upgrade, so it technically makes the grade better."

"Do you know anything of the god sealed inside Collei, Tighnari?"
He'd heard the rumors, and found them confirmed when he'd temporarily become Acting Grand Sage. Able to access vast amounts of information outside of what he'd weaseled his way into in his vendetta against the Sages to save Nahida, the vast tracts revealed more than just the usual bric-a-brac that came with an institution as vastly corrupted as the Akademiya. The humidity in Gandharva Ville was oppressive that morning, but easily ignored as h met with the Forest Watcher within his outpost.
"There may be a way to rid her of it once and for all."

INCORRECT QUOTES
Chongyun: I am not out of control! I'm a law abiding citizen! Tighnari: Really? Name one law Chongyun: Don't kill people? Tighnari: That's on me. I set the bar too low.

Back in the Akademiya, because of Al-Haytham's flippant interest in taking many classes across all of the Darshans, he did wind up taking several courses in the Amurta Darshan. During this time, he and Tighnari had several heated debates that made people wonder if they secretly despised each other. It wasn't the case at all; both were so well-matched in intellect that they simply became unreserved and ruthless, and enjoyed their verbal spars greatly. It fostered Al-Haytham's high opinion of Tighnari to this day.
While he's not directly involved in Collei's rearing, one of the things he does is try and hasten the arrival of instruction materials to Tighari. Prior to the old regime's fall, reading material was strictly regulated, so Al-Haytham would often use his Mahamata connections to smuggle things like light novels to Gandharva Ville for her to read.
He, Cyno, Al-Haytham, and Kaveh will usually meet once during the weekends to play Genius Invokation at Lambad's Tavern together.
It's not often, but sometimes Al-Haytham will use Tighnari as a liaison to acquire medicinals for body pain. He never specified that it's for himself and his chronic illness, though.
