Political, but not in a specific way?
I think the scariest thing in the current events is the AMOUNT of misinformation and fake news and how it becomes impossible to verify anything or even just get any proper information without having a lot of knowledge about critical thinking, follow at least 3-5 completely different news -media, and have the thinking skills required for a Master's degree.
And even with ALL OF THAT, it might atill be misinformation.
Just
Pure frustration.
(Not to mention that when someone makes a mistake, or change something, there's always someone who screenshot it and go "but you said...!")
Also bias and prejudice, also known as "I knew (x) did/didn't do it!" (Feelings aren't logic. Unfortunately, many people let the first run the show).
Verifying trains for the 2023 Kentucky Derby

It’s Derby Day! 🏇
The most exciting two minutes in sports is anyone’s guess this year, after a week full of drama and five scratches already (the most since 1936!), including heavy favorite Forte just this morning! Out of the 18 horses still in the running, five are grays! 🤍😮
Mom’s soft spot for grays means we are obviously rooting for new favorite Tapit Trice, but my contemplative horse friend and I will also be cheering for freckled gray Reincarnate and keeping an eye on rather inconsistent Verifying and intriguing longshot Mandarin Hero. 🐎🐢
🔙 Who remembers when I first met my white-socked horse friend nine (!!) years ago? Back then, I could ride on my horse friend’s back!!
🐢 Psst . . . Old Forester, what happened to the Kentucky Turtle Derby this year?! 🥺
It blows my mind that there are folk practioners out there that just see something new, think "I like that" and then start using it with 0 understanding of where it comes from or why its used for whatever its used for.
To each their own when it comes to your practice, but I literally can't comprehend being able to do that.
(this was triggered by a post that said "when someone is dying you should open the door so their souls don't get stuck" and because that rings true, I realized that some people would start incorporating that into their practice with absolutely no additional research or reading and I want to start down a research rabbithole of where it originated, who practices it, different variations by culture and the essence of why its believed)
