Chapter Summary: Lord Percival, Lady Vex’ahlia, and their children made an unannounced visit to Zephrah. Keyleth wondered if she was ready for her first date with Shadowhand Verin Thelyss. The royal couple helped their friend as the nature of Keyleth’s feelings felt so new and frightening. Rated: T.

“You look very you, dear.” Percy complimented, adjusting his glasses. “By the way, if the Thelyss fellow is smarmy. Just say the word, and I’ll shoot him in the ass.” Giving Vex a sidelong glance, their friend realized, “He was like this when Vesper started dating too.” “Oh, yeh.” Vex confirmed, fanning herself. “It’s kinda hot though.” Keyleth sighed in exasperation. “I just learn so much about your marriage every time you pop in for a visit.” Percy chuckled, “Good. I’m not sorry.” Keyleth mocked her best friend’s unapologetic tone.
