i feel so sad for sebastian sdv (guess what i've been playing for the past few months lol) bc he's my pookie + a guy i'd irl get along w (introversion + interests like coding, ttrpg and gaming, goth/alt, motorcycles, frogs) but also like. i feel like him marrying the farmer is him prematurely nestling into a safe space before he's challenged himself outside of the valley. not that people need to grow up and leave smalltown-ville, but he had those aspirations! he was unsure bc he didn't feel supported and understood abt them, and then all it takes is some kindness for him to let that go?

i'd want to send him off for a program, in-person or distance learning, something to let him have an informed opinion. plus supporting my loved ones in their endeavors. safety and love should mean feeling the security to expand your horizons and choose your own path, either leaving or coming back
