The Girl with Red Hat - Mark Entwisle
British , b. 1961 -
Oil on board , 30 x 30 cm.
Johannes Vermeer - The Astronomer, 1668 (detail), oil on canvas
Also for Deet I am making a portrait, but decided to put her in a new jacket and mixed it up with Vermeer's girl with the pearl earring. Still not finished some more deets to paint haha pun intended 🤭
The Milkmaid
Johannes Vermeer, 1658
Oil on canvas, 44,5 × 41 cm, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
Pearl with a girl earring.
Silver Glow went to see the "Designing Terry Pratchett’s Discworld – 30 Years of Paul Kidby’s Illustrations" exhibition at Weston Museum.
In Somerset, England.
Definitely the last addition to my Delft themed roombox. I added more pearls and moved some of the miniatures around.
Today: last step, glueing all 114 miniatures in place.
Hopefully tomorrow there will be enough daylight for some sharp detail photo's.

This cosy Delft Blue roombox in 1/12 scale I crafted using a wine crate, found Delft Blue miniatures in thrift stores, beads and metal jewelry pieces, fabrics and trims, craft and corrugated cardboard, wood, painted and decorated furniture, magazine clippings for paintings and frames, faux greenery, a shell, a few stones and paints, stains and soft pastel.
I loved designing and making this project, especially because it is a present for a family member who happens to live in Delft.
