you were in the dance studio,and were supposed to be practicing your turns but biology came first. it was the last week before your final exams commenced,which meant you were working your butt off trying to memorize entire chapters from your textbooks in the little time you had left to prepare.in fact,you’d been so busy scrutinizing your notes,you hadn’t even noticed that you’d spent more than 8 hours studying. you also came upon the sudden realization that you hadn’t eaten breakfast..or lunch ..or anything at all since you’d started studying(which was very strange since you usually always had a snack by your side no matter the situation)and were feeling SUPER hungry. “one more chapter and then i’ll go grab a bite”,you sighed while turning over yet another page of your biology textbook which seemed to be about 83947 pages long.
shortly after you got back to your textbook,however,you heard footsteps and loud laughter approaching the studio. soon enough you saw vernon,through the glass doors of the studio,walking towards the room with soonyoung by his side. “catch ya later,hyung!!”,said vernon,sliding open the door.
he started towards the stereo system when he noticed you sat up near the barre with your textbooks sprawled across the floor. “oh my god,y/n!! dOn’t tell me you’ve been here for the last NINE hours!!”,exclaimed vernon advancing towards you.“well..hi to you too,vernon..”,you pouted.”HAVE YOU EVEN EATEN ANYTHING SINCE I LAST SAW YOU IN THE MORNING??” “no bu-” “omgggg gurl i’ll call up mingyu hyung right now and have him cook up something for you. you need nutrients for your brain to work and here,have some H2O to keep your kidney hydrated since kidney function is nOt a right,its a privilege..and you’re privileged so you should be taking care of yourself more and like-”
“hasn’t mingyu gone to visit his parents for the weekend?”,i interrupted vernon’s well-intentioned blubbering.”oh shoot,forgot about that..hmm”,replied vernon.”aight today chef hansol shall serve you,brb i’ll go make you ‘vernon ramen’“,continued vernon as he quickly disappeared out the studio before you even had a chance to get a word in edgeways.
after what seemed like an hour,vernon appeared with a bowl of ramen which looked,and smelled,delightful.but as it turned out,looks can be deceiving,very deceiving. the ramen was soggy at parts and crunchy at others and it was also waay too watery. “hows it?”,inquired vernon. you felt bad admitting to how horrible it tasted when he looked at you so hopefully…”mMmm it’s great!! thanks nonie.”,you responded,trying not to scrunch up your face in distaste.”oo let me have a taste of that too”,he said,putting a huge helping of ramen into his mouth. “eWWW what is this?!??!”,he exclaimed,.005 seconds later,spitting out the ramen.’i’m so sorry,y/n!! i was hoping my culinary skills weren’t this bad..i just wanted to make you some nice food as a reward for working so hard…i guess i need to spend more time with mingyu hyung.”
“its ok vernon..hey,at least you tried”,you said,shooting,a now distraught,vernon a smile.”umm not to demean your…more than average…culinary skills and the even greater efforts put into making the ramen but i dont think i’ll be able to finish eating this..and really thanks for trying”.“ain’t you glad i’m a rapper and not a chef?”,giggled vernon.”you’re doing the world a favour”,i smiled.”maybe let’s get a food delivery??”i asked,seeing vernon’s eyes light up again. “heck yea!!! i’m thinking..pizza??”,vernon answered enthusiastically.”yess!! i heard they’re doing a buy one get one free offer”,i said,equally excitedly.
“how about the one who eats the first pizza gets to eat the second by themselves?”,asked vernon with a massive grin on his face. “oh you are so on!!”,you countered him,with a grin on your face which mirrored his. you’d managed to forget all the stress of studying in between your two most favorite things: vernon and pizza.
