Olivia (Favour Onwuka), a journalist student meets Riley (Jenika Rose), a shy freshman who suffers from anxiety. Sensing the opportunity to write a story about hazing practices, Olivia discovers secrets involved in the "sisterhood".
This TV film is a remake of the 1997 one with the same title starring Hilary Swank. It was originally aired on October 9, 2021 in the USA.
PLOT (it may contain spoilers): When journalism major Olivia starts her freshman year of college, everything seems perfect: she has a new job on the university paper, a handsome new boyfriend, Nate (Synto D. Misati), and together with her new roommate, Riley, they become fast friends, and both decide to pledge for a sorority*. Riley's mother Katherine (Shannen Doherty) was a legacy Pi Gamma Beta (a founder of such sorority), so she decides to rush (join) in hopes of following her mum’s footsteps, and is ecstatic when Olivia joins her.
Sensing the opportunity to go undercover to write a story about hazing practices (any activity expected of someone in joining or participating in a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers them regardless of a person's willingness to participate), Olivia soon discovers there are deadly secrets involved in being part of the “sisterhood.” Riley begins to wonder about becoming a sorority sister, but decides to stick it out because she's a "legacy".
Both girls' world change drastically during the sorority's "hell week" as new pledges are asked to perform degrading tasks. During hell week, Riley mysteriously falls from the campus climbing tower late one night, and dies. After getting over the initial shock, Olivia becomes convinced that it wasn't a suicide as everyone wants to believe. She begins her own investigation with Nate's help. But no one on campus will listen to them: Olivia's sorority sisters refuse to talk about that night, and the campus officials have closed the case…

*Univeristy and college fraternities and sororities are social clubs at colleges and universities, sometimes collectively referred to as Greek life or Greek-letter organizations, because they are named after them. Generally, membership in a fraternity or sorority is obtained as an undergraduate student, and they share five common elements: Secrecy; Single-sex membership; Selection of new members based on a two-part vetting and probationary process known as rushing and pledging (or orientation); Ownership and occupancy of a residential property where undergraduate members live; and a set of complex identification symbols that may include Greek letters, armorial achievements, ciphers, badges, grips, hand signs, passwords, flowers, and colors. Fraternities and sororities engage in philanthropic activities; host social events; provide "finishing" training for new members, such as instruction on etiquette, dress, and manners; and create networking opportunities for their newly graduated members. The members have to pay to join and be part of them. Fraternities and sororities have been criticized for practicing elitism and favoritism conducting dangerous hazing rituals, discriminating against non-White students and other marginalized groups, and facilitating alcohol abuse and campus sexual assault including rape culture.

Moving effortlessly between…
