Hey guys! After some discussion with the members I have decided to start once a week having a day dedicated to memes, anons, headcanons, etc. So today is officially our first MUSE MONDAY! This will be happening once a week, every Monday. (Though, you’re more than welcome to send anons at any point and time) Regular interactions are welcome to continue but for the entire day feel free to send anons to your fellow members. This is a chance for you to explore different sides of your character, as well as get a hot take from other’s about current events in the roleplay. There is no specific tag for this weekly event, but I do encourage you all to tag any headcanon posts with #VERPCHARDEV.

These answers are considered PUBLIC -- So anything your character says can and probably will be held against them. (Consider it like a quote to a tabloid or an interview!) That being said, if there’s anything you don’t want considered public information (God knows we have a lot of that with these characters), simply strike through what you do not want seen. Or, alternatively -- You’re welcome to answer questions as if you’re replying to a thread, and show the internal struggle going on behind the scenes.

These are not all you can ask about -- Feel free to stray from this list, as these are just suggestions and you’re welcome to touch on anything you’d like. Be creative with what you send! Though, if you’re going to send a particularly invasive anon, shoot the mun a message to double check on anything you’re unsure about. That being said, to ensure we spread the love to everyone -- I challenge you to send THREE anons to THREE different characters that you haven’t had the chance to write with very much. That way, no one is missing out on the action. Of course, you are not limited to just that -- Send as many questions to as many people as your heart desires.

Finally, I can stop being so ominous! Act II has kicked off, and we’re off the to the races. That being said, it’s time for a few updates! With all that has happened in the last two months, it’s time to add an Act II section to every Act I character. Don’t worry -- I’ll do the heavy lifting. All I need is three to five bullet points of what’s gone on with your character in the last two months, and I’ll comprise it into a formal Act II section for them. This does not include the newly posted characters (King, Ben, Arlo, Sheridan), as they already have this section completed. I’ll need an update from all of the following characters:

It is no mystery that not every one in New York City has the luxury of coming home to a bed at night, to having a roof over their head, or a warm meal waiting for them. And in the season of giving, Nightingale Prep will be doing just that -- This year will be the first an annual Alumni Lock-In. On the evening of DECEMBER 1ST, Nightingale Prep will open it’s doors to former students, and will be unlocking them once the sun rises. Bunk beds courtesy of Bergdorf Goodman, will be set up in class rooms across the school, with silent auctions and live music going on in the gymnasium, as well as catering by Howl and an open bar provided in the cafeteria. All former Nightingale students are invited, and encouraged, to attend. All proceeds from this event will go to the newly created Nightingale Foundation, to help fight homelessness in this great city. An idea spearheaded by Celia Santos, a former Alumni Board member and graduate of Nightingale, the board will be following through with her event, despite recent tragic events. A third of all proceeds from this event will go towards any funeral expense the Santos family finds themselves riddled with.

Surprise, surprise. Here we go again. Lucky number five is kicking off in the best way possible -- Locking up all of these grieving and complicated characters with nearly all the people everyone wants to avoid. Sounds like it’ll be a smooth evening, right? Basically, this event will be like a traditional high school lock-in. Except for the added components that come from being part of the Upper East Side. For those of you who are unfamiliar -- It’s essentially like a giant sleepover. Everyone should pack a bag, and show up in their pajamas. This event will begin on DECEMBER 1ST at 8 PM EST, and will be going on until DECEMBER 6TH, at MIDNIGHT EST. (IE: Through the end of Wednesday, December 5th) I’m extending the real life time of this event, to ensure everyone is able to be part of it, despite time zones, work schedules, and social lives. All characters should be in attendance, hopefully the extended timing for this event will give everyone a chance to get in on the action. After the end of this event, I would love to hear all of your feedback regarding the extended time, and if you feel it helped with your ability to plot and get threads moving.

If you could be anyone for one night, what would you do? Now, you have the chance. That is, if you can find the venue -- Slipped carefully under the doors of a select guest list, those will find an invitation to the event of the season. The term ‘Speakeasy’ is not uncommon, coined during the era of prohibition in the 1920s. Speakeasy’s may not be as common as they once were, but their secrecy still remains. They offered a certain anonymity for their guests, giving you the freedom to be whoever you wanted --- As long as you knew the password. Now, the same rules apply. Following the directions given on the invitation, knock three times, then pass the word on to the doorman. The only catch: You can’t reveal your identity. All guests should remain behind their masquerade masks, letting the anonymity live on. But don’t get too comfortable -- You never know who is watching. We hope to see you there, if you can find us.

Well, well, well --- Would you look at that? It’s time for our second event! While the blurb above was a bit cryptic, I’ll lay this out for everyone: All of the character’s have been invited to a party at a Speakeasy*. It isn’t specified who the host is, but most can assume this is the work of Nathalie Kirbey’s careful attention to detail. The theme is 1920s, and all attendees will be wearing a mask, to obscure their identities. This event will be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, beginning at 11 PM EST. In real time, this event will be going on from the 13th to 12 AM on OCTOBER 16TH (Alternatively, midnight on Monday.). Any starter for this event should be tagged with VERPEVENT2.

Thought the last event was wild?! There will be a very large and important plot drop happening during this event. It’s going to be a game changer, so make sure to keep an eye out for it. Have a question? Feel free to send it in.

AN ACTIVITY UPDATE -- Given that this group is small, it’s inevitable that the dash will be moving at a slower pace. That’s something I was hoping for: A small group means it’s easier to keep track of things. But, that being said, the inactivity limit will be dropping from ONE WEEK (SEVEN DAYS) to FIVE DAYS. I’ve gone back and forth over changing this piece of the RP since before it even opened, and now -- I believe is a good to do so, to help keep up the longevity of the group, as well as have the dash moving at a steady pace. It may be a post or two every day or two, rather than twenty, but it will keep the pace. That being said, with this change, I’d like to make it clear that I do empathize -- Life is tough, and this is just a writing group on Tumblr. Posting every two or three days is entirely fine; Like I mentioned, this is a small group, so it’s going to inevitable move a bit slower than a ‘traditional’ RP. However, posting every four to five+ days hinders plots, threads, etc. By no means am I asking for an arm and leg, and I hope that isn’t the message this is conveying, but rather, a bit more movement and communication. The former, in the name of moving through plots in a timely manner, and the latter -- By simply letting me personally know (via discord, or the main blog) that you’ll be away for x amount of days, that work/school/life is piling up and you need a breather, or just need a simple hiatus.
