Under the bright afternoon skies, Jane finished purchasing the goods for her mistress at the market, when she spotted Ella across the street. She'd known her fellow maid for quite some time. In fact, Ella was the one who welcomed Jane into the village when she first moved here years ago. A kind and sweet girl who was patient to deal with such a stand-offish and stoic person like Jane, Jane was willing to look out for Ella whenever they spent time together outside. Ella was normally so pleasant and upbeat, yet for quite a while, Jane noticed heavy tension with the other girl. It was bubbling to the surface, ready to burst. No matter how often Ella brushed it off and insisted she was fine, she wasn't. Jane knew better, but she didn't say anything - yet. But today, she decided she needed to help her friend. It wouldn't do Ella any good to keep whatever was bothering her trapped inside.
Making her way through the crowd, Jane greeted Ella, and gently took her by the arm. "Afternoon, Ella. Before you ask, I insist you put your tasks on hold. We're going to head out of town. Not too far off, mind you. Just far enough so you let loose some aggression. It'll make sense once we talk in private."
