07/28/17 - Versailles, KY - ON THE BOURBON TRAIL - We are at the epicenter of American thoroughbred racing and bourbon. Today we visited the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Distillery set in the middle of very high end horse farms as far as you can see in every direction - some with their own private race tracks. At the end of our distillery tour, we got to do a bourbon tasting where we learned the proper way to taste bourbon - it really does make a difference. The most amazing thing to me was how different the bourbon tasted before and after pairing with chocolate pecan bourbon balls. Needless to say, we now have our own private stash of 'double oaked' Woodford Reserve bourbon whiskey for celebrating special occasions on the road. P.S. Chris & Gill, if you are reading this, make sure you add the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to your bucket list.
