Celebrating summer's choir…the cicada!! In 2025, Central and Eastern Kentucky experienced the emergence of Brood 17. These 17-year periodical cicadas emerged from the ground in massive numbers, after spending the vast majority of their lives as nymphs underground, marking a significant event.
