Calling for rebellion // Lifespring ft @holyguardian's Ifalna

This... sounded a little complicated now. But it would make do. It had to.
Glenn didn't lose his grin for even a second, approaching the bar where the lady stood with an almost too relaxed gait. He liked it here. It was relaxed, the music playing was nice, the people just going about their day - and it all was fucking far away from anything Shinra. Maybe he should visit more often.
"Huh... well, I reckon those folks that have to make do on their own are always a bit more creative and get results some stuck up suit engineer from Shinra can just dream about."
Leaning against the bar, Glenn indicated a mall size with his hands - then made it a bit bigger along with the grimace on his face.
"Someone who knows boats would be nice... maybe a bit bigger than a boat?", he seemed to guess, looking at the lady again, "Maybe more like a flying boat - a helicopter? Anyone here knows helicopter stuff - or, well, maybe they are really good with making metal take certain shapes?"

"... it's been some time, yeah."
Glenn is calm, he tries to move slow and not too much. he doesn't want to put Roche any more on edge. He knows how hard this must be for the younger SOLDIER. There were rifts within Shinra. After Genesis has deserted, the cracks were more visible than ever. Glenn had been gone since quite some time before that. And while his desertion hadn't been as public as Genesis' - he now was the figurehead of a Resistance against Shinra.
People could claim he lured more of the young SOLDIERs. And it was true... but he didn't want anything bad for them. he wanted to help.
Offering a hand as if it was a symbol to an escape, Glenn gave the other half a smile.
"Roche... you did your best. But Shinra will never be satisfied. They will suck you dry - and they will spit you out again. I saw it happening time and again - and you did, too. You deserve better than that. And I can use good people like you on my side."
"I couldn't save you back when you were a starstruck kid... but give me a chance now. Even if you don't join the SRC, I can help you to flee."

"Listen, I don't know who you are, but you should probably know that your and your mom's home down in the undercity has been stalked by Turks extensively. You need any help?"

Glenn blinked up at the man, trying to sort out his own confusion. he... knew he had been wounded. Shot. By none other than Shinra junior himself. The fucking prick. But somehow it was hard to estimate how bad it actually had been.
Dead?
Who the fuck was this man?
Trying to righten himself up on his elbows, Glenn groaned and almost immediately laid back down again. Holy shit. Slowly, his hands travelled over his upper body. Thick bandages covering his chest and back, wrapped around him tightly and with precision only a medical pro could have.
This guy had saved him. Corvus.
Glenn narrowed his eyes on the other man again. Black tousled hair, beneath that golden eyes... he looked... friendly? And hey, he had saved him!
"... who are you? I mean. more than your name. Why did you help me?", he asked quietly. He needed to know. It had been ingrained into his brain ever since defecting. He needed more information on everyone before guessing whether he could trust them fully or nah.
"Since you know me... I guess you're either fan of rebels or you were promised a big fat bounty for me by Shinra."

He offered the other man a hand to shake as greeting. This was official business after all. And Auburnbrie had appeared damn kind so far. But Glenn had to make sure he was aware of what he was asked to do here.
"You sure about taking this hunt? If Shinra finds out you accept requests from us, they will mark you down as illoyal. With all consequences."
That's the SRC theme now, I don't make the rules.

Why couldn't one simply jump ship on Shinra peacefully? Why did there always have to be drama?
It was bitter sarcasm in his head, though Glenn had to be honest with himself - he was glad the redheaded man beside himself was with him. And not opposite of him. Genesis. A kid that had started to make the lines in the SOLDIER program - to suddenly be wiped from everything. Discarded. Shinra rearing its ugly head once more.
"What? You scared we can't handle that on our own?", he joked back, though he had honestly hoped Matt and Lucia would've sent a chopper sooner. Well. No crying about spilt milk now. They would make their path to safety.
Swinging his axe and letting the broad side land on his back, Glenn readied himself for the fight ahead.
"Maybe this old man can show you some tricks, kid."
