How she'd been convinced to sit down and join for drinks, she couldn't possibly say. And, at first, she'd been a bit stiff and reserved but the longer she sat and the longer they talked, the more comfortable she felt.

"KATARA WAIT", a hoarse voice echoed between intimidating walls of sheer rock and clay, hardened over many centuries and layered in an array of beautiful colors. The beauty of this nature didn't matter to Sokka, though. Injured and trapped in a dip of the canyon many would describe as the thumb imprint of a long-forgotten god, Sokka could only watch as his sister charged into the unknown.

Were there other voices echoing around him? Or had he hit his head during the fall? Was she retrieving help or fending off more soldiers?

Sokka hissed and pressed a flat warm hand to his head. "Come back." He wasn't entirely sure if his quiet words carried to Katara in time, but even the thought of not being able to follow and protect her drove him crazy. It was his fault for running blindly right into this pit and falling, all of his weight landing heavy on the right ankle. There was no way he could stand, but he also couldn't stay put. So he started crawling instead. Mumbling to himself, fixated on watching the ground. "I'm sure you're fine ... but you won't be once I'm done with you for LEAVING ME BEHIND."

So... this was the new megacorporation that’s been making a quick buck on a seeming miracle product, huh? Seeing as he could summon what he needed at will, Henry didn’t really see the appeal of Thneeds themselves.

How much money the product was raking in, however.... that’s what caught the toppat’s attention.

Big companies like this had a lot of power. And power is easily abused when left to fester long enough. He’s not going to deny he’s a biiiiit guilty of such an accusation himself with how he spends his time going after places like these, but at least he was using it more efficiently than most.

Besides. He heard the head of the place wears a Top Hat. And he wants to meet the bastard who’s ballsy enough to taunt the moniker of the world’s most infamous and powerful criminal organization.

As soon as she heard Charlie's voice, Vaggie perked up and started to tug on Esperanza's hand, her pace quickening. "This way." She paused briefly outside the door and glanced at her daughter. "Are you still feeling up to this?" Esperanza nodded, offering her mother a smile and a nudge. As they entered, Vaggie squeezed her daughter's hand and guided her over to Charlie. "Rani, this is Charlie- my girlfriend. Charlie, this is Esperanza...my daughter."

While her complexion, nose and shape of her eyes were very similar to Vaggie's, including the dappling of freckles over her cheeks, Esperanza otherwise bore a striking resemblance to Lute. She wasn't as tall as Lute but certainly taller than Vaggie. Her hair was cut short- much like Vaggie's had been when Charlie had first met her. Esperanza paused for a moment before she extended a hand and said, "It's nice to meet you. Mami told me a little bit about you."

Vaggie was beaming with pride, her eye watering a bit as she held her daughter's arm. She glanced at Charlie and explained, "I only told her the basics. I wanted to let you both find common ground without my interference."
