THE POINTED LOOK the former inquisitor gave her new companion was enough to wither a lesser man in his place. but for whatever reason, the more time she spent on the mantis, the less her looks seemed to work on anyone. . . and it seems to be doing very little to dissuade cal from treating the wound on his side himself. sighing, trilla gave up on waiting for permission, and crossed the distance between her and cal. without so much as a word, she knocked his hands away, and kept them away while she examined the wound, smacking them back if she had to. " make yourself useful and hold this. " she finally instructs, pushing the hem of his shirt into his hands. if cal is going to insist on being stubborn, she's going to answer him with the same energy. immovable object, meet unstoppable force.
stepping away for a moment, trilla quietly gathers the things that pass for medical supplies on the mantis. the quiet horror she'd had at their lack of a proper medbay had faded, and she found herself understanding that resources were one of the sad luxuries of the empire. . . not everyone had everything they needed at any moment.
still, she gathered something to clean cal's wound and something to pass as a bandage, and returned to him, fully ready to tell him off again. it wouldn't shock her if he's gone right back to trying to treat his own wounds. . . cal kestis was never great at following directions.
" i don't understand why you hide your injuries. " trilla admits, perhaps hoping to distract cal slightly as she disinfects his wound, " cere is many things -- but she's not going to punish you for failure. you think no one notices, but they all do. they see that you're hiding something. "
starters for patching up wounds / accepting !!
