𝐫𝐞𝐥. 𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐬 :: “ it’s nice to meet you, padmé! my name is cal! ” cal exclaimed. his cheeks suddenly flushed as he realized how loudly he spoke. “ sorry about that, but yes! i would very much like to bring my own padawan here one day, but that won’t be for a long, long time. ” @jeditrash personals dni.
he remembers this boy , a tiny scrap of an initiate running about the room of a thousand fountains with his peers -- and later , another padawan caught up in a war that should not have touched them , following dutifully at jaro tapal's heels. that child is long gone , replaced by this grim - faced youth that looks far too old for his years , but the thought of him brings to mind other initiates , slain at anakin's hand , and it is enough to close his throat. no. " i cannot help you. " a too - hasty step back. " i am not the person you remember. that man is dead. " @jeditrash
" - You're hurt, hang on."
She's careful to rummage through her own bag, placing it to the side. "I should have a med pack in here. . ."

" oh that? " the warrior thinks back to the flametrooper she punched off a ledge mere minutes ago. to the untrained eye, it would appear as though she sent the soldier flying with brute strength alone. in reality, lexa channels the force into her STRIKES when fighting close combat. " it's a technique i learned in the order... from master windu, actually. "

shin couldn't remember last time she got a proper night of sleep. she was running on a couple of hours today, her senses on overdrive as she walked through the empty streets, only distantly aware of where she was going. sometimes she felt as though her feet moved of their own accord, her mind completely shut off, unaware of where she would end up. this was how it had been since baylan had abandoned her -- it was only luck that she'd managed to escape that damned planet, and the second they landed, she'd run away from her saviors and had yet to run into them since.
she was all alone.
whatever baylan's "ambitions" he'd had were lost in the wind. she hadn't heard from him in ages, and assumed that she never would. for as long as she could remember, he had been there, training her, teaching her, as though she had a greater purpose. it had taken a while for her to figure out what his last words to her had meant. ahsoka's words to her, i can help you, played over and over in her mind, even in her dreams. she had never wanted power, she had never wanted to be the strongest. learning about the force, being by baylan's side, had given her purpose. but for whatever reason, that hadn't been enough to keep him by her side. she hadn't been enough.
eventually, her feet found their destination. she had come to this war-torn planet on an endless mission to find herself. she had no interest in fighting this war -- after all, she had no one to fight for. after a few nights in a rented room at lothal, she'd fueled her stolen ship and found her way here. she instantly felt the force rippling around her, and she wondered if this place had once been a jedi temple of some kind; some other place important to the jedi, one that baylan had never brought her to. he was always the one in charge, always the one deciding where they went. here, she stood on her own, wondering if there was some divine purpose for her. some reason.
for a while, when she was still stuck on that distant planet with her enemies mere miles from her, she had thought she could hear baylan through the force, thought she could identify his motivations. but it had not been real, and she was forced to confront that she no longer had a master. still, she kept her jedi braid on and stuck with her regular orange saber. a few tentative steps forward, at this empty marble-clad ruin, and she wondered to herself what he would say if he was here. what stories he would give her. what lessons.
she moved, sitting on the cold ground, looking around her. the universe, however vast and full of secrets, felt far less interesting without him. the ache he left in her heart was astronomical.
for a long while, she sat there. she was not meditating nor was she worshipping. rather, she was thinking, lost in the silence broken only by the wind. the force was all around her, but she ignored it, so much so that she didn't realize someone else was here until she heard footsteps behind her. on instinct, she stood, grabbing her saber and turning to face the stranger who had approached. if it was ahsoka again, she was going to lose her mind. she didn't need that conflict right now.
