[ He'd expected to be left in the box to rot. Just as Noshiko had done, he'd expected the children to do. And he wasn't happy about it--not at all--but he had expected it. He would take his revenge when he got out. Just as he'd always planned.
But this was not the box. This was another familiar scene: the veterinarian's office. And there was an unfamiliar, but recognizable, sensation. A feeling of weight. A feeling of-- ]
"You bound me?"
[ Oh, when he was free of this, his revenge would be more terrible than ever. ]
void's endgame would have been taking revenge on everyone who locked him out. but for noshiko, he had something special planned.
noshiko thinks he just wanted to kill her, but no. he wanted her to become nogitsune.
to void, everyone in the world falls into one of three categories: tools, toys, and targets. your odds of survival are the highest if you're in the first category, practically nil if you're in the third; but the second is the most dangerous. toy isn't a permanent step, it's an intermediate one. eventually anyone void considers a toy will rise to tool... or fall to target.

нιѕтory
Void is well over 1000 years old. He was born in Japan, but has lived many places over the years.
Void was not born a nogitsune, or even a void kitsune. He was once, of all things, a heaven kitsune. The exact details of how a heaven kitsune fell into the maelstrom of chaos is unknown; however when he did, he caused enough chaos that a group of magicians and kitsune locked him out of our realm of existence. He tried in vain to find a way back in; for several hundred years he tempted one person after another to invite him back to our world. Some of them managed to bring him for a few days or weeks or even years; some of them died before they could even open a portal. All of them failed, in the end--until Noshiko
Noshiko wasn't a target of Void's at all. He struck gold with her, an old lightning kitsune with the strength to bring him back to this world and enough anger in her heart to invite him. He would have owed her a debt, except that she then imprisoned him. Void will kill her for that, one day.

ᴘʀᴇsᴛɪᴅɪɢɪᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ﹕ Void has been gone from this world too long to summon the strength for full-blown telekinesis, but he can do small tricks. As he stays in this world and exercises his powers, that ability will grow. ɪʟʟᴜsɪᴏɴs﹕ Like his telekinesis, this is weaker than it once was; however Void can create small and perfect illusions or larger ones that will fool most people most of the time. ᴍᴀɢɪᴄ﹕ Void is very skilled, although again not as powerful as he once was, with all-purpose magic. ᴍɪᴍɪᴄʀʏ﹕ Whether this counts as a power is up for debate. Because Void isn't human, and due to being cast out is even more alien than he was before, any humanity he shows is an act. He is highly intelligent and an astute observer, and as such can make people believe almost anything about him he wants by use of verbal and nonverbal cues. ᴀᴜʀᴀ﹕ Again, whether this is a power is debatable. Nogitsune are totally inhuman. When Void stops pretending, what people see is something straight out of their most primal nightmares. It is enough to make almost anyone run for the hills. ғʟɪᴇs﹕ The flies are a gift from chaos and a place beyond this world. In shape, they are flies; in substance, they are both Void's chaos and the nothingness of the place he was banished to. They can cause just about anyone to do just about anything, either by changing their behavior or their perceptions. Their sole purpose is to spread chaos, strife, and pain on behalf of their master. sᴛʀᴇɴɢᴛʜ﹕ When in a physical body, Void can essentially disable all limits. He can use every inch of the body's strength because the muscles will heal as soon as they tear, and will heal stronger. ʜᴇᴀʟɪɴɢ/ɪᴍᴍᴏʀᴛᴀʟɪᴛʏ﹕ Even Void doesn't know of a way he can be killed, not that he would go to great pains to find out. Virtually everything done to him will heal within seconds, and since the body he wears is not strictly his, if it does die he can just find another. ғᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ﹕ While not a power, this is necessary to mention because it does influence Void's behavior. Void gets very little actual benefit from eating food, and in fact could go entirely without if he so choose. Instead, he feeds on chaos, strife, and pain. He does this in one of two ways: by taking it from the person into himself as sustenance, or by "sampling," in which he essentially takes a small amount at a time and feeds the rest back on itself so that he gets his food without removing any of the hurt from his victim. sᴄᴇɴᴛs﹕ Void frequently refers to the scent of pain or betrayal or similar. These are obviously not scents in the literal sense; rather, they are the means by which Void's physical body processes energies that he senses through his true one. It's a physical method of describing a metaphysical phenomenon.
тємρєяαмєηт
Void is manipulative and controlling. He's liable to give someone just enough rope to either hang themselves or tie themselves to him, whichever he thinks is more fun. He can be quite friendly and even cheerful when it suits him. At his heart, though, he is an arrogant, prideful, manipulative, angry ball of chaos and strife, and he doesn't even offer kindness unless it furthers those goals.
яєℓαтισηѕнιρѕ
Void does not experience love the way humans do. What he considers affection would probably horrify most of the people he offers it to. Void's version of love basically boils down to "I want to keep you." His love for a person can be observed and measured by the following, arranged in order of how much he cares about the person:
ᴘᴏssᴇssɪᴠᴇɴᴇss﹕ Void considers his love, in any degree, to give him a monopoly on his loved one's time and energy. He does not like other people touching them, speaking to them, or even looking at them too long. He does not trust other people near them. And he's likely to kill people who violate that. ᴀғғᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ﹕ Simple affectionate behaviors are partly a way for Void to balance his possessiveness in the eyes of his loved ones. It's also partly a way of showing his love. ᴛʀᴜsᴛ﹕ It's hard to tell how much Void trusts his loved ones, since he doesn't trust the people around them and that often presents itself in the same ways. In addition, he often imitates trust in order to draw people in further. However, much of the time, if he gives someone a second chance after they've betrayed him--without making them bleed for the privilege--he loves them. If after a brief honeymoon period he lets them go anywhere not strictly necessary, even with his supervision, that is an indicator of trust. ᴠᴇɴɢᴇғᴜʟɴᴇss﹕ Testing this particular facet of Void's love is not recommended. If someone hurts Void's loved ones, the difference between him simply snapping their neck and torturing them to death is huge. He will kill the person no matter what they did; but he won't kill just anyone slowly, or with all the tricks he knows. ɪɴᴅᴜʟɢᴇɴᴄᴇ﹕ This is another facet that Void frequently imitates at the star of a relationship, but that he rarely means. Giving his loved ones what they want before they ask for it, or asking what they want and then giving it to them, is a means of making them dependent on him; however letting them ask and giving it to them when they do is an indulgence that Void gives to very few people. ғᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ﹕ The only people Void really cares this much about are his offspring and their parents. Trusting someone enough to ask if they will let him or his child feed on them, and then feeding only if they say yes, is the ultimate expression of trust and love. His children, of course, he teaches to feed as an expression of love.
Other things to note about Void's relationships:
ᴀʙᴜsᴇ﹕ Void is very, very rarely physically abusive, because he thinks it's crude and it doesn't help him. Physical abuse is a blatant red flag; it plants a seed of doubt that he can't un-plant. But that doesn't mean Void isn't abusive, because he is. He is emotionally abusive and manipulative and will happily brainwash and manipulate his loved ones, especially mates, until they want nothing but what he wants. He goes slow to be subtle, but he will do it. ғᴏʀɢɪᴠᴇɴᴇss﹕ Void offers second chances to people he loves. He very, very rarely offers third chances to anyone. If he does, it's because he sees more benefit to doing so than not more than it is out of love. ᴘᴏsᴛᴜʀɪɴɢ﹕ Void would never admit it, but the mun will--a lot of what he does to run off threats to his monopoly on his loved ones is pure posturing. Not that he doesn't mean it--he will kill those people if they don't leave--but he doesn't need to. Letting his mask drop so they see the nogitsune underneath, killing one as a warning to the rest, and similar behaviors are posturing that Void does because it makes him feel more secure against outside threats. This is the same reason he puts such care and attention into making a home for his loved ones.
cαηση
For purposes of post-3B play, Void knew the contents of the scroll well enough to plan ahead. He essentially created a magical proxy to take on as much of the bite as it could, so that his current body would be, if not intact, then recoverable. It took him about a week to pull himself back together, but he did, with the same body and all the same powers intact.
νєяѕєѕ
The main verse is open; however the following private verses also take place in this verse:
ʜɪs ʙᴏʏ﹕ with totallynotanogitsune, in which after Void is removed Stiles finds it hard to believe no one blames him, and Void is happy to encourage that belief. ᴛʜᴇ sᴄᴇɴᴛ ᴏғ ʙᴇᴛʀᴀʏᴀʟ﹕ with loupgaroulahey, in which Void takes a liking to Isaac. Until he cheats, and then things get messy. ᴛʜᴇ ғᴏx ᴏғ ᴇᴅᴇɴ﹕ with teenagejamestkirk, in which Void finds a newly turned Jim and decides to teach him.
