𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐗. She is a wild spirit for sure. Always rushing about doing the damnest things in her spare time that wasn’t princess like. She shoots arrows in the woods, runs with her horse by her side as she almost itches to get down on all fours for a reason that she has no clue about, she never does it though. Can’t bring herself to ruin the skirts that her mother puts on her even though she is twenty years old. She should be married by now, should be having children for her country but she doesn’t. Hasn’t found love yet so Merida isn’t jumping the gun on marriage.
Books are laying on the desk, spread out to cover the surface of the desk almost completely. Books in foreign languages that she can read, some are in English though. Mostly books on historical events really. American was strange, the princess could surely say that one for sure.
Belle walks by and sets a book down on the table that Merida had requested, a soft smile on her face. Merida whispers her thanks to the one that works in the library, one that leaves her weak in the knees. She feels as if she knows the other girl more than she actually does as if they had been playmates in their youth (which in Mystic Falls they had not been either but she doesn’t know the name of the town or anything else for that matter).
The library might not feel like home (only the woods felt that way) but it was the place that she can relax, not worry about the triplets (her wonderful brothers) or her duties of a princess. Merida can be just Merida here, hovering over books until her eyes get dry and vision is blurry from staring at the pages for too long in the low light.
❝Belle...do you have the hunger games?❞ She heard some teenagers talking about that series along with Twilight and she figured she may as well check it out. ❝If not, that is fine.❞ she can handle not reading some teeny booper book series. Lucky for her though, Belle holds up a finger and dashes off coming back with the books that were in the series for her. ❝Thank you. I might take these three home for a few days.❞ Check them out in the library, hide them under her pillow at home and read them while she is sitting on the earth’s ground relaxing when she goes horseback riding through the woods with her bow and arrow strapped on as well.
