The Red Widow // Kill Bill Verse
So I’m slowly creating a Kill Bill verse for Gretchen -- which includes post O-Ren death.
Basically, Gretchen finds herself being swooped up by another crime lord who basically threatens that if Gretchen doesn’t marry him and conjoin their two houses, the remainder of O-Ren’s legacy will be completely destroyed, and in order to protect whats left of O-Ren’s clan, she agrees. It’s depressing and lackluster until she hears that Sofie is making a recovery and will inherit O-Ren’s fortune (by law), planning her revenge against The Bride.
The fire in Gretchen is reignited, and she publicly and brutally kills the crime lord, effectively taking over his gang, adopting the nickname:
The Red Widow
Gretchen basically takes back her crown and usurps Sofie and her plan of seeking revenge against Beatrix with Vernita’s daughter as her weapon, despising Bill and the hell his broken heart caused years ago.
Eventually, after building back up her reputation and connections, Gretchen seeks out Beatrix and basically confronts her with guards in her own home, sitting her down at the breakfast table and sending her daughter outside to play.
With absolutely no interest in fulfilling a need for revenge, Gretchen threatens the Bride, but very specifically. She says that she wants for Beatrix to raise B.B. as a strong, unafraid, and confident young woman. She wants for her daughter to never feel that she can’t be exactly what her heart tells her to be. But with this, she threatens that if Beatrix ever touched her sword again or dares to raise B.B. as another assassin, she will return.
Gretchen promises that Beatrix and her daughter will never again be a target under her rule, but threatens that if she ever hears of Beatrix doing anything other than being a doting mother with a boring day job, she will personally return and take B.B. away from her, and slowly cut off every limb, rip out her tongue, deafen her, and finally, rip out her eyes so she can never again touch, speak to, hear or see her daughter again, leaving her as an immobile husk to die.
