There are two reasons why he's shaking. One? Yeah, this Ryan is sure giving him a lot of nice attention - sweet words, trying to coax him into feeling safe, but his second reason? The reason why he's ready to bolt right now? Oh, he's absolutely fucking terrified that something like him being choked out, hit, or some other sort of physical violence was just waiting around the corner. He's very right to be wary!

He can feel the hairs of the back of his neck raise as they speak and goosebumps raising on his arms. There's something suspicious about it. Like they're trying to get him closer. Naim can only fall for the same bullshit so many times! Sure, he'd fallen for things pretty easily at first, but now? Though that had been more him being hopeful over anything else. Now? He's scared shitless, not sure if this is worth it anymore, especially when he's sure Ryan would hate his guts at this point, right?

It's always just him being hopeful. Hoping the Ryan he sees isn't that thing pretending to be him. This is his own fault! He knows it! Ugh. He hates this. All of it!

Unconsciously, Naim ended up stepping back. Something about the look in their eyes told him to run and running is exactly what he ends up doing after another step backwards. It was though his body is moving all on its own despite his desire to give into maybes again. Naim just, unfortunately, needs to accept that he and Ryan? They're never going to be together now! And it's all his own fault.

They raise an eyebrow. He doesn’t really seem like he’s lying, which is maybe what makes this even more interesting. They could reach across, grab his arm, and confirm it for themself, but Nadine doesn’t want to do that. Not yet. They’re stuck on this island for a stupid family vacation, and they don’t want to be a social pariah just yet.

(It always happens, but maybe they can hold off just a bit.)

Patricia was still out of it, but she was... lucid? As lucid as a woman covered in blood could be. "Work??" Marni echoed, "Did this happen at Town Hall?" It couldn't have. Right? For Patricia to have made it all the way to the docks from Town Hall, soaked in blood... She didn't want to think about it, but she had to consider the possibility. She took Patricia by the shoulders gently to lead her around the counter. She lead her to the stool she kept behind the counter, then turned to her phone. Hopefully the cops had already been called. "What do you remember?"

she gets funny looks now. hell, sara always got some funny looks, mostly from old people that didn't understand her dyed hair. no, these are from people that actually matter: friends, coworkers, new clients ... family when she actually sees them. the notoriety from encounters's last episode made sara somewhat of a phenomenon. until she wasn't, and now people just pitied her when they googled her name.

"i think a lot of people are fascinated by death, by the morbid. almost everyone. but no one wants to be the person that admits it." they'd look strange doing that, like a freak, and no one wants to carry that label over their head. "so they veer into the opposite direction to overcompensate."

"i brought you water." he had also brought the other home. it was rare that anyone in town went to the victor's village, but forrest had made a few trips. almost all of them included making sure that haymitch made it home safe. "are you hungry?"

"I know," Daenerys murmured as she turned from the view overlooking Dragonstone harbor where her fleet were moored. Her gaze took in the somber knight standing only a few feet away, taking in her tall, handsome, near-constant companion with a questioning glint in her amethyst eyes. It wasn't as if she hadn't wondered of the motives behind his devotion sooner, but there had been a great deal of planning and logistics to deal with before their arrival on Dragonstone.

"It may be a surprise to hear, but I do trust you, Ser Jaime," she admitted, crossing the distance to stand before him, her head tilting upward to meet his gaze. "You don't know how much I've come to appreciate having you at my side and how I hope you will be happy here far into the future," Dany continued, reaching out to touch his forearm.

Johanna frowned for a moment, looking down at her own drink, before throwing the remainder back and signalling for another one. This sort of conversation - this sort of honesty - wasn't exactly difficult for Johanna. Her brutality was something which she often prided herself on, and yet, she felt almost guilty having to say it out loud. ❝Honestly Abernathy,❞ she started, shrugging slightly. ❝I think it's hard to say. She's got talent, I'll give her that, but she doesn't exactly have the star quality the rest of us have. ❞ She added, a hint of sarcasm at the end. Her and Haymitch both knew all too well the issues that came with not being palatable. The fighting was only half the game, the sponsorships were where things really started to make or break a game.

❝I can't read loverboy though, he'll either stick the hell by her, or kill her at the first chance. I think she might just kill him though.❞
