Anniversary roses~ Right now my workflow is off due to summer break and sharing my work area with the kids. So, I thought I had done a better job of replicating the sketch until I was able to get back to my computer and look at it. The picture in my head wasn't quite the same I guess, I turned the fade the wrong way and moved the sentiment. Hearts and flowers~ In order to make sure that everything is going to fit correctly on my cards I generally make a mockup in my design space program that goes with my Cricut. I didn't do that this time, I don't know why I just didn't. You can see what happens when I don't, I lost part of my design due to overcrowding! Autumn coffee~ Making myself feel really brilliant today, while I was working on figuring out the layout of this sketch and trying to get the measurements correct for cutting, all of a sudden I realized that the correct measurements are actually written on the sketch. I sware I spend so much time looking at the shapes on a sketch that I just didn't notice that there were numbers, Well that made things easier. Geezes, Gina! Three cheers~ Last year I didn't get the chance to make Independence day cards. We were taking care of three of our nephews and that was taking up the majority of my attention, this year I am starting before school is out (just barely) and we are not doing as much child care. Appreciated teacher~ Yeah Teachers! Ok, so some of my most favorite people in my life have been teachers. Some of the people who I definitely feel are in my heart forever and will always have a special place in my life are teachers. I have had bad teachers, but I have also had a lot of really amazing teachers. I also have a lot of people in my life who although they weren't my teacher are teachers by trade and make my life much better for know them and them being in it. This is one of the reasons I work so hard every year at making thank you cards for teachers. These are people who are not paid enough, are not treated well enough, and should at the very least be given something small to show how important they really are.
