I'm writing a little thing with Jish and Nereida and I've sorta come to the conclusion that Jish is autistic.
And i don't mean that in the lame ass cop out "~he's a non human creature who just happen to have the same traits as an autistic person to show how non human he is~" way, I mean Jish, as he is, is a textually autistic man. and him being autistic is just like, a part of his character and has very little to do with how mermaids as a species behave.
#reasons: vibes#(but hes partially non verbal#becomes passionatly obsessive about what he likes#poor emotional literacy and a lot of difficulty understanding others feelings#very solitary despite being from a social species#very Very strict about his routines#very litteral#difficulty with eye contact#a bit blunt#Textures bad#stimms#and idk hes sexy as hell)
