Darken Hardened Shell. Softened Light:
Vespers was wreaking havoc on another dimension, the turmoil and war fueling their growing power allowing them to cause more harm to the dimension. She was enjoying until one of the Astrals showed up, she’d dealt with many an astral, all so easy to defeat. They yawned and stretched, just ready to get the fight over with as the astral charged at her; firing off attacks while attempting to stab at her with their lance. Vespers managed to subdue the astral attacker and planned on corrupting them and sapping their power but before they could, they were ambushed by other astrals, all ready with varying weapons and powers at their disposal.
Vespers just sighed with great boredom as their attackers drew near, attacking her left and right never letting up their assault. Many tried to pierce her form but never could and she would mercilessly beat them for their efforts. The number of astrals dwindled as she weakened them more and more with her ever increasing power. As she killed another astral a different one enacted their plan to pin her down to the final planet she had just finished corrupting, at first she thought the binds would be trouble but when she couldn’t break free she began to panic on the inside and she pulled against them. She refused to be held down, she refused to be dragged and degraded, she wouldn’t allow it. “You think these binds can hold me? You are Fools! Just like the many astrals I’ve taken before you! These binds are nothing” she pulled against them harder as they kept pulling down to the planet surface.
She hated this. She wouldn’t chained again. The whole she is this way was to escape the oppression and to have their freedom by any means. They wouldn’t let these inferior astrals steal away all of what she worked hard for. No One Was Going To Trap Her Again. She shifted into her more arachnid form and went into a frenzy, killing the astral who was doing the binding. Brutally.
The fight finally ended. Vespers looked at the bodies floating around her, their presence making her nauseous. The fight had taken a lot out of her, especially the binding…that left scars on her arms and neck. She needed to leave and recover, she needed somewhere to go. Someone to go to. She thought about her favorite little green star and that was all she needed to get moving and scope out where she was.
