#hes a very slayful character really despite this fucking endingndjsldj #one of my fave vesperia writing moments is him saving yuri and then learning his reasoning why #his reasoning being that elucifer saved humanity but then was betrayed which then posits yuri and flynn in similar positions #where flynn and yuri aimed to stop alexei + maintain the levels of aer #but yuri was then stabbed by sodia which is similar to elucifer being betrayed by humanity #so duke saving yuri is kinda like him saving elucifer. at least thats how i see it #ppl say duke is similar to yuri but naw i think duke = flynn and yuri = elucifer #and duke is like what would happen to either of them if one of them isnt there to keep them in check #Dont you know youre my other half.. i rly do love his gay ass bc 1.) hes actually gay fr like theres a lot of non-gay characters tht ppl will call gay im guilty of this too but hes like literally gay its part of his character hell its a huge part of his character without his whole breakup/situationship w flynn he does not have a character arc and yeah okayyy i guess u could say theyre not canonically gay but like fuck you FlynnAndYuriLyingDownOnTheGroundCrossingTheirSwords.png does a media need to explicitly state that a character is gay for them to be gay? fuck no. and secondly 2.) another reason i love his gay ass is bc hes actually awesome to women like see this is why i love yuri but would kill phoenix wright with a rock if i could cuz yeah theyre both gay but yuri actually treats estelle with so much respect and care it is so fucking awesome like oh my god yuri you are so cool. i had more to say but i just got jumpscared by a random phonecall that hung up on me when i picked up tht was really scary cuz its 3am here and im just chilling alone in a room so geez. but anyways yeah i <3 you yuri my gay king

this is so funny to me cuz imo vesperia's UI was ASS

#and its been a hot minute but i dont think x-2s UI was super difficult to use.. but also this pic is the ps2 UI and i was playing the #remaster so i cant rly say anything here #but yeah vesperias UI was Ughhh like the menus within the menus #and even at the end of the game i was mixing up the artes and skill menus like which was which #and SPEAKING of the skill menu... that shit was ass. why could i only see 12 skills at a time.. why does the text box eat so much space -_-#not that they really described most of the skills well anyways #i wouldve really appreciated it the skill screen was more like ff9 or smth #also OMG the strategy menu the edit options are soooo fucking unnoticeable and missable like the hell #and dont even get me started on what a pain it is to shop for the party members.... -_-#vespieria

this was rly crazy like first the fact that flynn had reached for his sword to begin with but even crazier is mr yaoi over here not only not making any move to unsheath his own sword but also moving towards flynn like wowww u wanna get impaled so badly 😑 but ahh seriously yuri murdering cumore was some crazy shit bc ok killing ragou was already nuts of him to do but for him to do it again to cumore really shows that he doesnt gaf about getting caught cuz if u know a thing abt brave vesperia's movement its so easy to add 2 + 2 together and realize oh both times that a high ranking official was murdered was when brave vesperia was in town... yeah. like this is wht i mean by yuri not being resolute in his vigilantism bc like rather than recognizing that ragou + cumore's abuse of power is a systematic failure that he'll need to continue "correcting", hes instead obviously not planning to continue these actions long term seeing how hes done virtually nothing to cover up his tracks (as opposed to like judith who had worn a disguise and never lingered around) + is already giving himself up to flynn here for arrest.. like honestly judith is a great example to compare yuri to bc theyre both acting outside of the law to enact their own sense of justice, but unlike yuri, judith has never labelled herself as a criminal. she is steadfast in her beliefs, truly believes they are just and righteous, and isnt hung up on the law that would define her as a criminal. Yuri on the other hand is basically the opposite of her, cuz like not only does he call himself a criminal over and over again, hes also strongly hinted to be conflicted over his actions. like i feel like these lines that he says to sodia illustrates this the best

"losing your senses in the heat of the moment".. it does check out honestly, in that its not hard to imagine tht yuri's murder of ragou was more fueled by outrage and frustration rather than it being a calculated action to "correct" the empire. and tht would of course explain yuri's conflict w himself and why hes so eager to face retribution.. ok i think i hv more to say abt this but ill stop here cuz i have to wash my hair. also one more thing, the fact that flynn is hesitating to arrest him here while yuri is the one stepping forward... FREAKS
