TV SHOW RECOMMENDATION BY MEMBER LIZ LANDES #GRIMM It's a police drama but it's fairytale based. It's very cool! There are people who can change into a part human and part creature, and they are myth or fairytale based, and supposedly inspired stories we know. Sometimes normal people can see them, but most times not. Only one man, a detective/ cop in Portland, Oregon, named Nick, can see them all the time. He's called a Grimm, and those with his gift to see them are supposed to hunt the very bad ones, called Wessen (pronounced with a "V"). The other Grimm that is a young woman named Truble) is a secret, but a few of his friends, and some Wessen friends, know his secret and help him solve Wessen related crimes. Wessen are secret too because if everyone knew about them people would be frightened. Not all are bad and try to blend in with society. Each show is tied into an old fairytale or myth, though its not always apparent, so I love trying to figure out what story it's related to. I'm also partial to this show because I met one of the actors, Reggie Lee, who plays Lt.
