HIDER IN THE HOUSE- 1989 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a child, Tom (Gary Busey) was abused by his parents for years. After he couldnt take any more he burned his house down with them inside it. He is institutionalised for 18 years, upon being released he finds a new build house and does some diy to make himself a secret room in the attic. A family then moves in and he becomes obsessed with them, hoping to become the new member of the family....
Loved this film! It was so dumb but a definite guilty pleasure. Gary Busey was very good for this role, liked how the movie explained upfront what was happening with the loft and it wasnt that he just kept appearing but no one knew why. It was also hilarious when he blew his cover while teaching the son how to fight.
I love Mimi Rogers! Beautiful, elegant and charming! Ive only seen her in two other movies but they are two of my favourite: Ginger Snaps and Cruel Intentions 2.
Michael McKean also appears as her husband.
Hider in the House was scheduled for a much bigger release but its production company "Vestron Video" went out of business shortly before its release.
