May is Mental Health month. I’ve been working in my field now for over 7 years and I can’t recall ever seeing a company do something like this for techs/vets (at least my jobs never put it out). Mushu is 100% made out of vet wrap and I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out (seeing as I did not expect it to go well). Our job is taxing so being able to take time out to do arts and crafts is always a welcome thing.
Things to Know about Vet Wrap
Every person who has a pet or works in the veterinary industry should carry an emergency kit that contains a veterinary wrap because it is a necessary medical resource. This wrap is self-adhesive, stretches, and comes in a number of colors and widths, making it suitable for a wide range of animal sizes and injuries. The wound will heal more quickly thanks to the fact that the Vet Wrap is constructed of a material that is permeable to air and permits unrestricted circulation of air around the wound. In addition, the fact that it is self-adhesive assures that it will remain securely in place without clinging to the skin or fur of the animal. It is perfect for covering open wounds, stabilizing joints after injury or surgery, protecting paws from abrasions, supporting strains and sprains, and even helping prevent insect bites on pets that love exploring outdoors. Also can be used as a replacement for traditional bandaging materials such as tape or gauze. What do people like most about Vet Wrap?
Vet Wrap may be applied by hand with ease and there is no requirement for scissors or any other instruments; simply rip off the amount that you require. If you want to be able to address small emergencies at home before taking your furry friend to the vet, then this equipment, which is basic but effective, should be included in any pet first aid kit you purchase.

Hmm..
What do you do when you don't have a wrist brace?? Have your pre-vet roommate vet wrap it 😂
I am buying that cool looking purple medical tape. Thanks for recommending it. I've also had dermatillomania since I was a kid and only recently discovered it was a disorder. Solidarity.
*shouts into megaphone* SOLIDARITYY!!
I deadass cried when I found out that it was not only a Thing, but a Thing A Lot Of People Have. CRIED. That’s why I started this blog in the first place–if someone had just told me when I was a kid, I never would have reached the point I did before therapy.
So that being said I’m thrilled you found one of my tips useful!! I mention in the updated version that it’s also apparently called ‘vet wrap,’ and can sometimes be found cheaper under that name.
