First year in University of Sydney’s veterinary program

Originally from Vancouver and with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied animal biology, Cherri is now in her first year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Sydney. With no vet program in British Columbia, she had to leave her home province to chase her dream of becoming a vet anyway, so she thought she may as well go somewhere with great weather, nice beaches, and one of the top 10 vet schools in the world (at the time she applied).

So, what’s her life like now?

I'm very interested in going to vet school (phd), but it'll be two or so years until I'm able to apply. I've looked at the University of Tennessee and Clemson University, and I really like them both. Has anyone here been through either one of these vet programs (or currently going through it)? What do/did you like/dislike about the program? Also, if you went through (or are going through) another veterinary program, which one did/are you going through, and what do you like/dislike about the program? Thanks!

Looks like I'm gonna be spending 3 weeks in Costa Rica and Nicaragua in may 2015 helping animals and doing a bunch of other stuff ^-^ Is it wrong of me to already start counting the days?! :P
