Draft of a new OC.

He’s a twisted experiment of sorts. A vindicator who’s entire soul was transformed into a powerful vex (usually vexes are born from only a small part of one). He lives on as a monster, a deranged trickster spirit that feeds on fear and XP.

Based off of BOB from the show Twin Peaks and Tormentors from the mod Goety.

brain said "what if we break Virgil down into Fight and Flight?"

Flight is the oldest part of Virgil. Before humans learn how to handle things on their own, they learn to step away from the threat/confusion and go ask for help. Flight is the quieter part of Virgil, that likes disappearing. And the part of him that doesn't feel very capable. Sometimes in a bad way. Sometimes, more like... Flight just knows his limits.

Fight is younger. Fight... didn't develop in easy circumstances. Fight is loud and sharp and mean. Tends to run at problems instead of away. There's very little that Fight thinks they can't make go away. Every problem can be solved if they approach it from just the right angle. Sometimes, this is good-- like Virgil's self-confidence. Sometimes, it means biting off more than they can chew.

Fight and Flight are supposed to work together. In Virgil, they... don't.

Flight doesn't trust himself. Flight thinks he makes Virgil pathetic. That he's holding Virgil back, keeping Virgil miserable. He thinks Virge would be better off if it was just Fight there.

Fight does NOT fucking agree with that. He thinks that Flight kept Virgil going when no one else was trying to help him, when no one believed in him, when Virgil himself didn't even have Self-Confidence to believe in himself. He thinks-- knows-- that Flight kept Virgil ALIVE long enough for Virge to learn new ways of sustaining himself. And Fight idolizes Flight for that. The same way that someone would love an older sibling for supporting you through a toxic household-- that's how Fight loves Flight.

And Fight... doesn't trust himself, either. Fight knows he's beneficial for Virgil, obviously. But... Fight also knows he's the thing that kept Virgil lashing out for so many years. That he keeps Virgil lashing out and snappish even now. That he keeps Virgil isolated. Lonely. And the times when Virge rushes toward something instead of being cautious, and people get hurt... yeah, that's Fight's fault, too.

So... Fight and Flight aren't working together effectively.

The day they have to face that, is the day that Virgil Splits.

It's chaotic. None of the others handle it very well. Roman and Patton... well, both of them have a history of viewing a Split as a Side turning into a "Good" and "Bad" side. So... obviously the both of them accidentally make things worse.

Kivraaks and Cipher

Kivraaks

Eliksni Lightbearer - solar warlock - he/him

Ghost name: Bowie (she/her)

Was resurrected in the Reef on a lonely asteroid surrounded by dead Eliksni. Since then, he has taken it upon himself to study the ways of the guardians from afar, especially the warlocks, and he even dresses like one.

Personality: somewhat cocky, flippant, is a cool dude, does all that to hide that he's secretly squishy and scared. Intelligent and well-read, is a nice and caring friend. Loves old Earth music, which he found stored on some ancient computer somewhere, and loves dancing to it.

Kivraaks craves a purpose for himself, and is scared he won’t ever find it. As an Eliksni guardian, he’s unsure where he fits in. So he watches and studies the Guardians and Eliksni from afar, and learns about them from his Ghost.

Cipher

Vex* Lightbearer – void hunter – she/her

Ghost name:  Reed (they/them)

A human-turned-exo-turned-vex, who was later Risen. Sometimes gets vague remnants of being a collective, as well as the regular human remnants that exo’s get. Evidence suggests that in her past life, her exo body was damaged beyond repair, and in an attempt to save her life, someone uploaded her exomind into a mostly intact vex chassis.

Personality: Optimistic, loves learning stuff, somewhat naive. Has a calm and easygoing demeanor, but has learned some combat out of necessity. Deeply fascinated by nature.

Since rezzing, she craves knowledge, and has set out to catalogue plants, animals, minerals, etc. on less-traveled-to worlds. Since she's something of an enigma, she struggles with understanding who or what she is. It’s easier for her not to worry about it when she’s buried in her research, but deep down she longs for an identity.

Cipher and Kivraaks met on one of Jupiter's many tiny moons (which is terraformed and crawling with Taken.) Kivraaks was trying to work his way through the Taken swarms to get to a crashed Eliksni ship to see if he could find some Ether. Cipher found him getting killed by Taken repeatedly and offered to help him get through. After that, and realizing they're both misfits, they decided to stick together and became fast friends.

charlie on the left belongs to @doodledrawsthings !! i think the context for this drawing is that i found this post while i was sitting surrounded by craft/wrapping paper, ribbons, and art supplies. so i thought: what if they made their own lil prom dresses?

New OC!!!

Melody is like a reverse Jimmy cricket who lives in Cub's (hermitcraft) head. I headcannon that Scar and Cub were possessed by a pair of sibling vexes names Melody and Maul. Maul went for Scar, and Melody attacked Cub. Through a contract made by Scar, (clever little businessman) They managed to kill Maul, which gave scar his injuries and, well, scars, as payment. But Cubs section of the contract wasn't airtight, and Melody is still alive, although all control over Cubs body is gone. She's trapped in Cubs head and Makes a racket all day, giving him horrible migraines. She also tries to get him to do immoral things, and wont ever shut up about how killing Scar is a great idea
