I rolled a new Khano when they updated the game lighting a little while back, so I could re-record all the cut scenes with the new lighting.. but now that they're doing a graphics overhaul, it's time for..... (you guessed it).... yet another Khano.
I am leery though, about the changes. If Khano's face changes too much, I am going to have a literal crisis over it. But if it makes him look slightly older and a bit more rugged, then I'll consider it a win, tho.
I've started to redraw some old art because I have some things I drew awhile ago where I liked the concept but my execution wasn't great. So now that I've improved a bit I'm going to take another stab at some.
One of the main reasons why I wished I could write Khano fic is because I'm desperate to give my boy his own voice. There is only so much you can get from a drawing, and since my drawing skills are limited, it is difficult for me to convey emotions and personality in a single image.
As it stands right now, Khano's personality, his moods, his sense of humor, his dreams, desires etc, they're all stuck in my head, desperate to get out.
In the words of Senya, "None of you know him like I do."
I want you all to know him like I do.
I want him to have more depth as a character. I want to explore his dark side, I want to give him more dimension.
But.. writing is really difficult for me these days. My memory isn't that great, so I often forget details of the in-game story even though I have played it a bazillion times. It's like I forget my entire vocabulary when I sit down and attempt to write something.
I've been given some advice to start off with chucking some stuff down on paper, even if it's garbage, and rework it as I go. I guess I will start with that, but I need direction as to where my writing should go.
Anyway. Monday morning thoughts while I'm at work waiting for my film processor to warm up for the day.
The dawning realization after 43 years that the reason why you are the way you are is because you have ADHD and you were probably the only one who didn't know.
Kind of looks like my legacy is shifting from the Vexas and more toward the T'Linth's lately. I've created Toe Beans' sister Daal, and also one of their brothers, Arvie.
I have a couple more character slots left, and some characters I can nuke, to make the rest of them. There's 5 siblings in total. Just means all my new characters will be orange Cathars.
My dumb ass didn't copy over my fic from my old phone to my new phone, so everything I was writing for Khano's New and Improved™️ headcanon is gone.
Anyway, I'm half on the fence about trying to rewrite it.
Strangely enough, my vehement hatred for Makeb seems to have turned into "This planet actually isn't really all that bad for Weeklies."
Huh.
I'm FINALLY going back to work in two weeks. I have been away from my friends and coworkers since March, and I am more than ready to be a social human being again. I've been feeling so left out, so out of the loop.
I miss my friends. I miss my coworkers. I.... miss my job.
