I'm sending Viri's public namesake off to do Makeb. For some reason I missed it, and I actually like Makeb, and she's not up to SoR yet, so it works.
(spoilers for Imperial Agent and Sith Inquisitor class stories below)
I always like to find a reason for the characters to be in a certain place. In terms of Imperial Makeb, I think that all four classes can be justified for being there, albeit for different reasons. The Bounty Hunter is the shakiest - they may or may not care about saving the Empire and there's nothing to show they have the organizational skills to lead an entire mission team, but they could certainly be relied upon as the muscle to go up against the Hutts. The Inquisitor - well, putting a Dark Council member in charge of something might appeal to Marr, even if it's not her sphere, because she already knows how to supervise a lot of people in the Reclamation Service. And the Imperial Agent - regardless of the choices they've made, they've clearly shown they can organize and be a formidable opponent to all sorts of different unconventional enemies. If they can defeat the Star Cabal, bring down Grey Star and stand up to Jadus, hell yes, they're probably going to do fine against the Hutts.
That brings us to Sith Warrior. The Wrath, whose duty - in Viri's mind, anyway - is to protect the Empire. Makeb is certainly an opportunity for that, and the Wrath has proven to be very clever and calculating in a lot of diverse situations.
I always like to find more than that, though:
Headcanon: Darth Marr would have had access to Viri's file, and thus would have known her history. Both of her parents were respected scientists and researchers - not just in Imperial circles but in general. They wrote books and papers. If Viri had not been Force sensitive, she likely would have ended up in STEM as well.
Headcanon for my version of Sith education is that if a Force sensitive person has a special aptitude for a particular field, the Sith do not ignore that, and they encourage further education. They absolutely will send that acolyte off to university, especially if it appears they may go far as Sith and have the potential for some sort of leadership.
In the lore it's mentioned that Lana is very eager for knowledge and wrote a paper on the Sith and Jedi; headcanon is that she wrote it because she was allowed to go to the prestigious Kaas City University and double major in history and political science. Viri had a strong talent in math and science, so she went to Coronet University on Corellia and has a degree in biochem. This is why she was at Upper Academy in her mid-20s, and that situation is not terribly uncommon.
Back to Marr, then. He has this issue on Makeb, and he's going to need scientists and engineers to help figure it out. The sphere of Biotic Science is an open chair since the Battle of Corellia, so he's not getting help there. Darth Acina's heading the other somewhat scientific sphere and she's completely competent, but she's up to it with the Dread Seeds. But here's this Wrath who happens to have a degree in science, and if it's not exactly geology or chemical engineering, at least she won't blink and will be able to communicate with the geologists and chemical engineers on an informed level.
Plus, she's already got a reputation in the Empire for Getting Shit Done, and Darths and Moffs on various planets are always requesting her as a result. It's known that if she is set on a task, she will get it done efficiently and smartly with as few deaths to her team as possible. And she seems to actually want to protect the people of the Empire.
So Viri would have made sense for Makeb, in Marr's mind.
