The Final Poll! (hopefully)
So, we have narrowed it down to Victorian Girl in Thedas! But wait, that's a long-ass era, no one said to me at any point.
I have already decided what technology the Victorian Girl will attempt to introduce to Thedas. (And it's a surprise!)
So let's look at the two options I have, shall we?
Alice Morgan (face claim: Daniela Denby-Ashe as Margaret Hale in North & South)
Alice is pretty much considered a spinster at this point in her life, but it is not held against her due to her station. She is the daughter of an elected Member of Parliament, and spends most of her time at his country house in the county of Sussex. She is fascinated by the machinery that has been developed for the automation of agriculture, and transport, and particularly the various stories she has heard of the mechanised mills for weaving cotton in the north of England.
Violet Philips (face claim: Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswin Oswald in the Doctor Who episode The Snowmen)
Violet started life as a gentleman's daughter, but her father died when she was around ten years old, and her mother was unable to support them both. She was sent to an aunt, who made sure she was educated, but followed through on a threat to sell her to a madam (brothel) when she refused a marriage proposal at the age of 20. She thrived at the brothel, continuing her education and learning from her clients, but dreams of escaping London now the railway is in place.
Who is the Victorian Girl in Thedas?
Alice
Violet
