Bloody
This is longer than it needs to be lmao, but this is Hank finding out Gavin's a vampire oof
---
All that could be heard in the dark of the woods was the wet tearing of flesh and the heavy breathing of the hungry vampire. He hadn't meant for this to be a feeding night, that shouldn't have been until tomorrow. His destination was supposed to be the back of Hank's truck for some spicy makeouts, but here he was in the middle of the woods with his face pressed into the neck of what was now a corpse.
Now he would be late for their little date, on account of being currently soaked in blood. He might have to cancel, he really really didn't want to, but cleaning himself would be a hassle and leaving the house twice in one night might rouse the suspicion of his nosey roommate.
Nines would kill him if he found out he was posing as a human and creating a romantic relationship with a professional vampire slayer at night. It was a big risk, but Gavin really liked Hank and was trying to enjoy this for as long as he could.
The older man was warm and kind to him, unlike any human he had interacted with since he was turned. They would go on casual dates to food trucks, movies, or just going on night walks. Other times, like tonight would have gone, Hank would pick him up in his truck and they would cuddle and share kisses and whisper to one another. He loves Hank's scent, it was so deliciously human; sweat, gasoline, alcohol, saw dust.
Thinking about it right now, he could almost smell him here.
Oh shit.
No.
Lifting his head slowly from the bloody mess below him, he glanced around. It took him no time at all, seeing as his senses were heightened when he was in vampire form. Just a few trees back, Gavin could see the older man clearly, and, thanks to his own glowing eyes, Hank could definitely see him.
Cautiously, he rose from where he was hunched above the body, his eyes not leaving the other man.
"Hank..." His voice came out more graveley than he would have liked, as he took a step back slowly.
Hank was approaching him a little too calmly, his heart was racing, the pleasant tingle from his feeding leaving his body quickly. He turned to run, and found that Hank was running after him now.
"Gavin! Come back here! Jesus fuck!" He couldn't tell if he sounded desperate or angry, but He didn't want to take that chance.
Tears were flowing from his eyes as he ran for his fucking life from the man whom he was growing accustomed to. Fuck, he should have never done this.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, damn it!" He looked back at the man who was surprisingly keeping up with him. "Slow the fuck down! God!"
Gavin waited a minute before slowing to a walk, putting himself in a vulnerable position only because he had built trust in Hank. He tensed as a large hand wrapped around his arm, turning him around. Hank looked out of breath, staring down at Gavin with an expression that he couldn't quite place.
"Gavin, I... Why are you crying?" The larger man gently placed a hand on his cheek, rubbing his bloodied skin.
"Maybe because I'm in love with a fucking vampire hunter, and I thought you were going to fucking kill me? I don't know..." Gavin mumbled it out with weak sarcasm. He didn't even realize the confession pushing itself out because was still on edge. This could easily be a trap. Hank could stab him in the back any second, it's just how humans acted around things they don't understand. He sucked in a breath, watching the old man anxiously.
Hank's eyes widened a bit, blood rushing to his cheeks, but he tried to ignore the first statement in favor of calming the vampire down. "I'm not going to kill you. I wanna help you, Gavin. You mean so much to me, and I don't want to throw away what we have just because you're a vampire." Gavin was the one blushing now. "You wanna be safe? Come with me. I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you."
Hank's words shook him in a way he had never felt before. "I..." He paused, running it through his mind a couple of times before letting out a little laugh. "Shit, okay. Fuck. I thought you were gonna hate me forever or some shit... I would.. I would love to come with you, Hank, I just... Maybe tomorrow night? I'll have to get my shit from the other place, and..." He looked up at the sky that was beginning to turn a hazy orange on the horizon. "I should go. I... Thank you."
"Meet me near the park at midnight. I'll have the truck." Hank tugged him forward for a quick kiss, forgetting about the blood caked on Gavin's lips. "Also, I love you, too, Gav..."
Gavin's eyes sparkled as he gazed up at his lover, then he nodded and made his way back home. Well... It wouldn't be home anymore.
