Tarantula Hawk

Getting commissioned to draw my own OCs? Maybe I am finally winning !

I was requested to do some stain glass with Holly Blue, specifically a favorite moment, and I think the scene where she properly breaks free of the Nexus is up there. (You can read that scene in here if you're interested)

Partially as a character moment (has never once done something for herself up until then) but also because it loops back into why I designed her as this type of wasp in the first place. Always meant to be a kind of "rival" to Big Mama

(though Big Mama isn't specifically a tarantula and there's other parasitic wasps to other spiders but I like the blue orange contrast okay?)

Anyway thank you again! It was an honor to get this commission.

Bit hypocritical of me to say tbh; I’ve been behaving like a literal toddler with how much I’ve been dragging my feet about reading the sequel fics until recently. Like, you like their writing, you’ve had it before but no, my brain can’t commit time to those now even tho most of them are on the shorter side compared to the main fic. But then The Knight and the Dragon updated and I was like okay but Jasonnie tho… (which shoutout to the author once again for introducing me to this ship in the first place lol. Love the Not Part of the Plan series as well) and Comet was the thing that finally punched me in the face and went “read the rest of the damn fics already” and here we are

Anyways I made part of her dress translucent because after drawing the legs I was upset that they weren’t gonna be visible with the clothes on top. This happens way too often.

I’m also working on a very short and meme-y Jasonnie comic that’s almost finished save for the colors and I’m itching to go back to, so I’ll drop that as soon as it’s done.

This, this right here was a beautiful fic to read from start to finish. Of course I’m going to read the other parts of extras I think, but I finished the main story of VhHb by @sibillascribbles08 :)

I tried my best to make a “family photo” of sorts with all these characters that most likely matches up with one of the certain chapters. I hope it was accomplished well because yes >:). Please, I recommend reading this fic for anyone who really likes Donnie
