I'm just not okay.. the way they represented Lord M's passing with the mechanical bird slowing its song.. the way Victoria didn't think to get him an actual living canary or song bird.. I know that she knew he was gravely ill, and would he be able to care for a living thing? But that just made it all the more painful.. especially after she encountered the canaries at the silk-weavers. And don't get me started on all this proper society business making it so she is not allowed to hug Lord M.. like God damn, PLEASE GIVE THAT MAN ONE MORE HUG PLEASE. AND THEN ALL OF IT TOPPED OFF WITH DASH??! Y'all..
