“i ordered new outfits for the dancers, and they’re finally in. i can’t wait to debut these.” the new number, and the reason for the new outfits, is one of her favorites. she’d been working on rebranding, and could see this as the turning point for sapphire.
"y’know, the whole reason i stopped going to clubs is because drunk people are the worst. but, i thought it’d be nice to go out tonight, and have some fun. and you know what happens? some drunken idiot spills their fuckin’ blood mary all over me. who the fuck even drinks bloody mary’s at a club? that’s a hangover drink.”
❝ i just mean, ❞ loretta began as she stirred her tequila sunrise with her straw, shifting from one tired, high-heeled foot to another, ❝ i love this place. and i’m proud to live here. of course! ❞ loretta popped the cherry into her mouth as she continued, her eyes focused deep within the colors of her atmospheric drink. ❝ but there’s only so many times a week i can wear tassels on my tits before it really loses it’s magic, y’know? ❞ lo finished with a sip from her drink and glanced up, looking to the other she happened to catch eyes with a hard blink. ❝ and i wasn’t talking to the person i thought i was,” lo said with a tired laugh. ❝ sorry about that. ❞
“So -- what’s your poison ?” she asks, tossing a cocktail shaker between her hands. It’s not often that she leaves the confines of the VIP area or her office, but at least a few times a week, she tries to mingle amongst the masses in order to see how her club is running. And tonight ? She’ll take a few hours to pose as a bartender, to get a good glimpse of exactly what’s going on. Her employees are terrified they’re being evaluated, but the crowds ? Lexi can only assume that they have no idea what sort of power she wields around here.

❝ n-no ma’am, ❞ benny sighed into his phone, placing his thumb and index finger on the bridge of his nose as he strolled along, distracted with his client. ❝ there’s no statute of limitations on murder in the state of indiana. yes, i’m positive. ❞ he answered. he understood that the limits of the law were complex for the average slot-dweller to understand, but there were some things that just seemed like common sense. ❝ well there’s no statue of limitations on murder anywhere in the united st —— ❞ benny stopped suddenly with a soft thud of another shoulder against his own, ❝ sorry about that, ❞ he said, looking to the person he bumped into. ❝ no, not you, mrs. rozzner. i’ll call you back. ❞
It’s a busy night at Hades ( like it always is -- the crowds don’t quit at New Vegas’ latest & greatest restaurant ) which means there hasn’t been a dull moment for the hostess. One would think it’s a simple job -- but having to deal with that many personalties, all of whom are hoping to see & be seen -- well, it’s anything but. The reservation list is already miles long, so when a potential customer approaches with a promise of a hefty tip if she could slip them in somehow, she already knows it’s impossible. Besides, her boss would kill her if accidentally slighted one of their VIPs for someone who didn’t have the sense to call months in advance ( yes -- that’s how long the wait is ). “I’m sorry,” Sage replies, barely glancing up from the screen in front of her. Even if she wanted to, the list doesn’t lie -- there’s no wiggle room. “You should know that you’re not getting into Hades without a reservation. It just isn’t done.”
