Meet Raul and Mariana, two of my original characters!

Besides being into Otome games and fandoms, I also have developed my original universes throughout the years! These two characters take part into a Universe I named Vicious Hunter, and it has a mixure between everyday life and magic. Raul and Mariana are two of the main characters, even though we only get to meet Raul around the middle of the plot! And although it’s hard to see due to her clothings, Mariana is meant to be chubby... 

About them:

Mariana Saints is a senior highschool student who dreams of becoming an artist. Social and a goof, she’s liked among her classmates and is the class representative.  She honestly didn’t want to get into this mess, but she seemed to have no other choice. All she wished for was to finish highschool and surpass her previous crush by becoming more talented than him. She lives in the other side of the city on a regular neighbourhood with her mother and her older brother. Mariana carries on a secret no one seems to know, which is the point. This, however, has begining to take a tool on her mental health, slowly becoming more and more paranoid. If she wishes to fufill her duty, she will need as much suport as needed, but how if no one can know?...

Raul Wolf is a 19 year old who passes his day at the local bar to avoid his annoyance of a mother. She keeps on nagging him to find a good gipsy girl to marry, but he isn’t having it, finding confort in cigarettes inside the establishments. Once a dreamer of studying Criminology in University, Raul finds himself now participating in rather shady businesses in order to earn extra cash to support his younger brother, who is still in middle school. How he met Mariana was rather odd - he wanted to thank the person who lended his younger brother money for a bus ride so he could hang out in the city, as money was running low at the end of the month. After all, living in the ghetto is not easy at all, and Raul carries with him his survival instincts and suspicious nature. However, if gotten into his good side, Wolf will become a loyal ally and assist however he can and however necessary. If he likes you, he’ll do almost anything for you. Ride or die.

OTP questions!

So, my dearest @marmita-tuga asked if I could answer some of these otp questions regarding Mariana and Raul, so I took liberty of doodling some answers quickly~

A: Mariana, usually. She gets rather concerned with Raul’s hotheaded personality when it comes to trouble with his... Shady business. Last time it happened she was there to help him, but she honestly would rather not have to help him again. She would rather not have him in trouble at all!

A: When Raul stays the night, he enjoys passing time watching Mariana draw on her sketch book. Usually they build this little blanket fort to keep uninvited guests out, and honestly Mariana feels safer with it, haha~

A: Unfortunatly, because Mari is still in highschool and Raul is busy, they don’t get to go on relaxed dates that often. Plus with what they have to deal with, honestly they find it difficult to even have free time to lay down together! But Raul offers Mariana rides when she needs to rush out of school, and that’s when they usually jam out to throwback tunes! It’s not a lot of time spent together, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t of quality~

A: Sadly, it isn’t uncommon for Mari to have nightmares. With all she has to endure, she has a lot on her mind, plus the journey of beeing a teenager all together. That’s why Raul made sure to set his ringtone the loudest he could for her number, so that whenever she needs him to calm her down, he wakes up to aid her.

A: Well, they sleep in seperate houses around 99% of the time... But Mariana absolutely sleeps better if Raul is with her. She feels safer with his arms around her and usually doesn’t have nightmares with him by her side. Raul can also only fall asleep after she does, to make sure she is sleeping and getting well rested.

A: Honestly Raul loves to cuddle, but he feels awkward to ask for it. So it’s always Mariana who starts the sessions by hugging him, usually from behind~ And even if he acts tough, she knows he loves all the hugs she gives. And oh he does. And Mari just tends to ignore the smell of tobacco coming off him...

A: Because Mari is larger than Raul, he has the opportunity to steal her hoodies and not the other way around! And he loves to wear her bright pink one, it’s not too hot but it’s still cozy, and he adores the perfume on it. At one point Mari just gave it to him, as it was getting slightly tight on her. He couldn’t be happier about it~
