SHE MAY BE RUSTY, BUT BY THE GODS, SHE'S GOOD. it's been quite a while since she last had to put on her damsel in distress act, but when it comes to zhents? it seemed to be the only way to get the upper hand so that they could get back to camp without drawing any attention in case they have friends nearby. luckily, valhiri was no stranger to de-escalating a potentially hostile situation.
as gabe remains hidden in the brush, valhiri rushes urgently toward the two zhentarim agents, wearing an expression of utmost despair as she hails them down. her sob story is plenty to convince the men of the tragic events that lead her to being lost on the road. soon enough, they're wrapping her in warm cloaks, guiding her along the way under their protection.
she waits until they're past where gabe sits ready, and her signal is clear: leaning up to press a lingering kiss to one agent's cheek, she withdraws her poisoned dagger discreetly, sticking the blade directly into his heart through armour padding. as the zhent drops dead, she readies herself for the other to attack. " now, bard! " she shouts, parrying the blade that's suddenly lunged toward her.
it's only when the second agent falls concussed to the ground that she notices gabe behind him, a boulder in both hands. with a snort, valhiri kneels down, already looting the unsuspecting victims. gabe's comment, on the other hand, brings a satisfied smirk to her lips. " told you it would work. "
