VICTOR- “Many of our gifts are learnt, Ezil. Some are gifted to us naturally. Your gift of intuition and memorization are vital gifts to learning spells and incantations, and even writing them.  We will get you started with a spell journal immediately.”

ABRA- “So, Ezil writes them and I use them?”

VICTOR- “Yes and No, but the two of you could be a team for the good of the realm, most certainly. Who knows what the future may hold for the two of you.  I mean a lot of people think you are destined to be the next Master of the Realm, but that is your choice. But once you have a grasp of your abilities and how they are to be used...well let’s just say the sky is the limit.”

EZIL- “Well, Abra and I have seen a lot and right now I don’t think either of us have any goals that lofty for the realm positions.”

ABRA- “You got that right.  I just want to make sure that I don’t get pulled down the wrong path and wind up like---”

VICTOR- “And that is exactly why Lucian has asked me to be your mentor. So we will start in a few days.  I hope you both are excited about this as I am.”

LUCIAN- “Nico, so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing.  I would have been here, but I was in El Salvador.  How are you doing?”

NICO- “Good, mother lived a long life, and there are a lot of days that I have a hard time being here without her, but I know she is with Spencer now.”

LUCIAN- “How are Abra and Ezil doing?”

NICO- “Good, they are pretty close.  Ezil has helped Abra a lot.  I think having them both here has been good for both of them.”

LUCIAN- “Unfortunately, Solomon and I are having to go back to Alexandria. Things are pretty hectic there, We have had some leads on finding Masato, hopefully we can capture him and get him into custody.  But the reason I am here is We finally found a suitable tutor for the boys.  This should help you and Lennon, at least with that responsibility. Victor Goth IV has agreed to work with both of them.  He is Victor and Mattias Giobertti’s grandson.  He and his wife and family have moved back here from San Myshuno.  He is a gifted teacher...and powerful witch.”

LENNON- “Victor!  So excited you are going to be working with the boys.

VICTOR- “So, Nico.  Are the boys home?  I would love to meet them.”

NICO- “Sure, Lennon go grab them and have them come downstairs....so Victor, I appreciate you doing this for us and for the boys.”

VICTOR- “It’s my pleasure, Nico. I was blessed with many gifts, and through my own tutoring by my grandfather, I learnt the powers do not control me, but I control them. Giving this important lesson to younger witches is my goal. Abra may very well be one of the most powerful witches we have encountered since your Great Grandfather Cruz.  So it is important that we help him take control, properly what he has been given.”

NICO- “Your grandfather Victor was the one that tutored me, along with my uncle Savon.”

VICTOR- “Yes, us Goth’s and Boedell’s have been in this magic cycle for many generations now, haven’t we?”

NICO- “Yes, all the way back to Morgana and Bella.”

VICTOR- “This very house was the birthplace of Cornelia Crumplebottom Goth. Yes, it goes back quite a way.

NICO- “Hey boys, there is someone here we want you both to meet.  This is Victor Goth IV, he is the grandson of Victor Goth and Mattias Gioberrti. He will be your magic tutor and coach.

ABRA- “Tutor, I get, but what is a magic coach?”

VICTOR- “Well, Abra, that is one of the most important aspects of your teaching.  How to effectively use your gifts appropriately. That’s what the coaching part is all about.  Teaching is just the basics. What spells are what, and what gifts should be used when. Coaching is a hands on approach.”

ABRA- “So we are actually going to use our gifts?”

VICTOR- “Most certainly.  In a secured environment, and only for their intended purposes.

EZIL- “But I am not as gifted as Abra, I don’t have many of the gifts that he has.”

VICTOR- “Ezil, I believe you have the abilities to learn spells and incantations that could be vital to the realm and the work that they do. Don’t sell yourself short.  Your father and mother were both very gifted. Your mother was one of the best spell castors that the realm has seen is sometime.”

VICTOR- “Ezil, I must say that your work on those incantations was by far the best work you have done yet.  You are a real natural at them.  Keep up the good work, and who knows you may be able to apprentice for Lucien next year in Alexandria.”

EZIL- “I’m not really interested in moving back there to be honest, Mr. Goth.  I am much happier here in Willow Creek.  Too many bad memories there.

ABRAHAM- “I’m done over here, can I go now?”

VICTOR- “Did you do page 3, Abraham?  I want the entire lesson completed....correctly.”

ABRAHAM- “It’s completed, not sure how correctly, but it is completed.”

VICTOR- “Fine, you can go then.  We are off tomorrow, so do the homework tomorrow before classes on Monday.”

ABRAHAM- “No rest for the magical, right?”

As the weeks and months passed, both of the boys really liked Victor, as he was exactly what they needed.  Stern, but honest and open with both of them.  Their studies in witchcraft were going great, and Ezil as well as Abraham were learning that their gifts were just that.  Gifts.

Abraham was still a little irresponsible when it came to his other class work and was constantly trying to get out of the math studies.  Ezil on the other hand was an excellent student and was excelling in all of his classes.  Abraham had befriended Victor's oldest son Jude, and would run off to the mall to play at the arcade, or shoot hoops with him every chance he got. Ezil didn’t care much for Jude, and was somewhat jealous of the friendship that Abraham and he had made so quickly.

VICTOR- “As soon as you are finished, Abraham.  I want the entire page completed before you leave.”

ABRAHAM- “But I was supposed to meet Jude at the park...

VICTOR- Jude will have to wait.

NICO- “Victor has a son that is about you and Ezil’s age, you will also meet him.  He is a pretty gifted witch as well, and he can work with you too. “

VICTOR- “Yes, Jude is gifted in a few things, but he, like both of you is apprehensive in using his gifts. So this may be just as much of a training for him as it will be for the two of you.”

ABRA- “Well, I’m ready I suppose.  If I am going to keep these abilities, I need to be able to use them correctly.”

EZIL- “I am actually excited. I think doing the spells and incantations is something I could really enjoy doing.”

VICTOR- “Good, I am glad you both are looking forward to it.  We will start on Monday. Thanks for allowing me to do this Nico.”

NICO- “No, Victor, thank you.  It is an honor to have you working with the boys.”
