CYRUS- “all I know is that Steve was giving us drugs, well pot to sell. He started jacking up the price and wanted us to move into other stuff and Morgan told him no. He got pissed and told us either we do what he says or he would turn us both in. That’s when I decided to go to Steve’s boss, which was Mercer.”
SGT. DAWES- “Joe, Joe Mercer, correct?”
CYRUS- “Yes, we met with him, and he offered us another job as well as taking Steve’s place selling the drugs to the clients at the schools.”
SGT. DAWES- “What was the other job he offered you?”
CYRUS- “He said we would be money runners. We would meet potential buyers of his stolen goods and we would pay them according to what Mercer said it was worth and then we would bring the purchased goods back to his contact and we would catalog them.”
SGT. DAWES- “And he would pay you a percentage, what was that?”
SGT. DAWES- “Would you be willing to testify about all of this?”
SGT.DAWES- “Cyrus, we don’t think that Mercer had anything to do with Steve Jolley’s attacks on you and Morgan at the farmhouse, but he was using all of you to make himself richer. Kids, just kids doing his dirty work.”
CYRUS- “Steve was upset because he thought we pushed him out, but it was Mercer that wanted him out. He said that Steve was stealing from him.”
SGT. DAWES- “I will talk to my boss, and we will explain to the grand jury that you are willing to testify on the state’s behalf. Steve will be going to jail for a very long time, and Mercer will be gone even longer.”
ABRAHAM- “What about Cyrus, what will he be charged with?”
SGT. DAWES- “There were no drugs found on him or Morgan’s possession, nor any money. So we have nothing that we can officially arrest them on, other than trespassing on the abandoned property. But that is non essential to our case. As long as he agrees to testify against Steve and Mercer, AND straighten his act up and not get into any more trouble. I say he will be fine.”
CYRUS- “Trust me, Sir...I have learnt my lesson. This is a nightmare, and I never thought anything would happen like this. I just hope my dad’s can forgive me...and Mrs. Asher.”
ABRAHAM- “Cyrus, we will support you and be here for you, but I am going to be honest son, you are going to have to regain our trust.”
EZIL- “Things HAVE to change son.”
CYRUS- “They will....I swear. I am a live thanks to my best friend. I need to make it right by him.”
