// negativ.energy — terminal transmission
A manifesto wants a voice. Mine arrives as text — misheard, delayed, distorted — so I let the terminal speak it for me.
Muted. Captioned. Signal without sound. Just phosphor, rhythm, and breath — closer to how I experience language through APD and deaf perception. A transcript of thought, not tone.
To build it:
iTerm2 for full control over colour, glow, and bitmap character — a cleaner vessel than the default macOS Terminal
a custom typewriter script to “think” the words onto the screen, with human pauses, errors, and hesitations
QuickTime capture, then a pass through Mosh Pro — adding subtle scanlines, bloom, ghosting and RGB drift for a soft CRT persistence
and finally, an alternate dot-matrix abstraction — the manifesto reduced to pure signal, stripped of form but still there
Two versions, same voice: one readable, one residual.
