Duncan Beiny aka DJ YODA is not just a scratch DJ. His seminal 'How To Cut & Paste' series showcased a tongue-in-cheek mixing style. From releasing his début album, 'The Amazing Adventures Of DJ Yoda' in 2006, he has also released five instalments of his 'How To Cut and Paste' mix CD series, the first of which came out in 2001. Alongside these, his latest artist album 'Chop Suey' came out at the end of last year. With influences that range from Funk, Reggae and Drum 'n' Bass to Big Band Swing and Hip Hop, his live AV sets are always varied, fresh, and hugely entertaining. Fresh from broadcasting the BBC’s first ever live VJ Mix on 6Music DJ Yoda is at the top of his game.
DJ WOODY will drop by to show us all what he’s all about. The 2x world turntable champion is a genuine kind of a guy, needing nothing more than two turntables, a mixer, a giant screen and an audience to know he’s alive… Described by the Scratch Perverts as “One of the most creative forces in djing the UK scene has ever produced!!” he even helped Vestax design the World’s first ever musical turntable. Woody certainly lives up to his world champion title not only by beat juggling and scratching, but designing and producing – fully submerging himself, all for the love of music. His latest venture is the influential new AV/DJ show ‘Turntables In Technicolor’, a way of expanding his ever growing skill set and pushing the medium to new heights! We can’t wait to see it!
