Art direction/music/presentation is aces, but the combat is... kinda janky

I'm really not getting a strong bead on Nilin either, like... she's fine so far, but I'm not exactly in love with the character

I really fucking hope Edge isn't her boyfriend/husbando or something because wow I really DO NOT LIKE HIM I feel like I'm taking orders from a waaaaay less interesting/sympathetic white male version of Daisy Fitzroy

I'm depressed though because this game is doomed no matter what, even if it turns out to be amazing or something

and considering that reviewers everywhere got mad boners from DmC and that barely sold, and considering ResiEvil 6 was a 'failure' at 'only' 5 million copies sold, I can forsee very little good happening here with Capcom, and it makes me really fucking angry.

Almost as angry as the inevitable articles of "see, female leads CAN'T sell" and "THEY USED 'DIVERSITY' AS A 'SCAM' LOL"

I really just need this industry to crash already i don't even care anymore

Fire Emblem Awakening

Now that I've got the hang of this game... I HAVE SO MANY REGRETS. I regret promoting Chrom and the avatar so early. I regret not switching out weapons to evenly gain proficiency. I regret not looking at the support and the barracks. I regret missing that optional character because I didn't realize I was supposed to talk to him.

I've spent the entire time making my avatar sling thunder spells at enemies even though I made his strength attribute his strong point... AND IT TURNS OUT HE CAN USE SWORDS? UGH I'M SUCH AN IDIOT.

On the bright side I reclassed Donnel from stupid idiot villager to mercenary and he's kicking ass right now. I didn't know what to do with Panne so I turned her into a Wyvern rider for some reason.

CHROM'S MARRIAGE IS COMING UP AND THE GIRL I WANT HIM TO BE WITH ISN'T HERE YET AAAAH.

Fire Emblem really puts me out of my comfort zone. I'm so used to level grinding the shit out of my characters and just mowing the enemies down. I hate the strategy bits of Suikoden let alone an entire game based on it. And my weapons break, too! In standard RPGs once you get the legendary super weapon you're pretty set but in Fire Emblem you can swing them maybe 10 times. Wow, force me to think why don't you.

But the characters and the stories...?!

Also in FE:Awakening... I just made my avatar an angry looking muscled man because that's just what I do. I'm upset because now I can't date hot dudes. Fuck. Oh well, there had better be awesome chicks I can marry.
