There  was  a  thought  to  make  a  remark  about  these  processions  being  stupid  &  pointless.  Especially  when  it  came  to  selling  the  façade  that  their  family  was  a  happy  one.  It  would  be  ,    if  a  certain  husband  her  mother  had  been  forced  to  marry  wasn't  involved.  The  defiance  had  come  when  she  discovered  Alexei  would  be  joining  them.  He  had  the  moment  he  heard  how  long  this  procession  was  going  to  take.  She  chose  to  hold  her  tongue  on  that  factor  only  ,    but  did  look  back  to  her  mother  while  the  servants  continued  to  pack  her  things  around  the  two  royals.    " Am  I  correct  in  assuming  Sir  James  will  be  heading  security  for  this  procession  as  well? "    It  was  sarcastic  ,    but  that  had  always  been  Anya's  way.  Fearless  in  consequences ... &  sometimes  too  bold  with  her  words.

It  was  𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙰𝙻𝙻𝚈  deemed  the  right  time  to  𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐  𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚖𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛  𝚒𝚗  to  help  in  aiding  in  Anya's  training.  She  was  doing  well  with  the  training  offered  by  the  Soldier  ,    but  while  he  had  for  the  most  part  been  𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗𝚝  𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑  𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖  ,    could  for  one  reason  or  another  (be  it  behavior  related  or  being  called  on  a  mission)  &  they  needed  someone  who  could  be  brought  in  during  those  times.  Who  better  than  the  very  person  they  hoped  Anya  might  one  day  take  after.  They  already  were  𝚒𝚗  𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢  𝚠𝚊𝚢𝚜.  This  would  hopefully  only  amplify  her  training  &  education.

She'd  been  given  the  freedom  of  𝙼𝙾𝚂𝚃𝙻𝚈  a  private  training  session  in  the  large  𝚖𝚞𝚕𝚝𝚒𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚎  𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐  𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚖  ,    save  for  the  obvious  cameras  that  both  Anya  &  Natalia  would  know  were  watching  them.  Natalia  had  been  allowed  to  𝚁𝙴𝙼𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁  the  twins  she  had  with  James  Barnes  ,    but  they  had  been  used  𝚏𝚘𝚛  𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎  𝚋𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐  as  insurance  for  both  parents  to  continue  their  work  ,    or  else  the  lives  of  the  twins  would  be  threatened.  Anya  sat  in  the  middle  of  the  large  training  ring.  She'd  been  told  she  would  be  meeting  a  𝚂𝙴𝙲𝙾𝙽𝙳𝙰𝚁𝚈  trainer  ,    &  that  the  nine  year  old  wouldn't  always  be  training  with  her  normal  mentor  from  here  on  out.  Her  hair  was  neatly  tied  back  into  a  bun  ,    without  a  strand  of  hair  out  of  place.

Of  course  it  wasn't  hard  for  her.   It  was   𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑   hard   for  their  @viduificcl.   If  there  was  a  woman  in  the  world  that  couldn't  be  matched  by  any  sort  of  security  system  …  or   𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘   for   that   matter  …  It  was  Anya's  mom.   Every  time  she  always  came  through  for  the  other.   Much  like  the  rest  of  their  family  was  with  one  another.

Anya  had  expected  their  father  to  be  waiting  back  at  their  mother's  penthouse.   Which  was   𝐎𝐅  𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄   was  where  they  were  going.   Anya's  place  would  be  compromised  …  Leaving  their  mother's   𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒   of  a  penthouse  suite  being  the  best  place  for  Anya  to  lay  low.   As  long  as  nobody  saw  her  enter  the  building  it  was   𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄   thus  far  for  anyone  to  gain  access  that  their  mother  didn't  allow  first.

❝  &   how  long  will  my  extended  stay  at  Chateau  de  Romanov  this  time?  ❞    Luckily  ,  the  crimes  that  had   𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃   them  in  Arkham  were  somewhat  minor  ,  &   their  mother  had  the  knack  for  making  little  problems  like  that  go  away.

❝ put that on her tab ❞ kira replied to the bartender with a wink. after a night of watered down vodka cranberries and screwdrivers, she felt like she deserved at least one real drink --vodka, on the rocks, russian, as if that was even a question--

the place was a lot fancier than what kira was used to, she would never willingly go to a black tie event. but, work called and they had to answer.

the knife was still safely strapped to her thigh as she scanned the room for any newcomers. no luck yet; but their target is bound to arrive at one point. the redhead walked back to the booth her mother and her settled in. far away from the traffic of people pouring into the room. her heels were uncomfortable --as good as she was at walking in them, she hoped she wouldn't have to run in them--

❝ he's still not here. ❞ she told her mother, the almost mirrored version of herself that sat opposite her. kira hated undercover work. hated the fact that she had to pretend her mother is her sister, simply because of the fact that they were past the point of passing for mother and daughter, natasha looked a decade older than her now. no, she didn't hate undercover work because she had to lie. --lying was second nature to people in their line of work.-- she hated it because she thought she was a bad actress, and was bound to slip up at one point. but not tonight.

"I just thought...you should know that well," he took a deep breath and paused fiddling with his fingers in a nervous way. "You know, you're someone that has struggled a majority of her life and you've made something of yourself from it. Like the rising of a phoenix. You've come from the ashes of a world you lived in....that you were forced in. And you have come from it to rise. A bit like a flower among thorns. I should say I'm getting all poetic but I'm just saying that...well...I'm proud of you for everything you are."

Q might have screamed if Natasha's movements hadn't been so smooth as to have him pressed into the bed so fast. All of his breath was knocked out of him, resulting in only a small whine of distress as pain immediately started to throb as the bones in his wrist were pushed to their limits.

"I-I wanted to check on you! I just c-couldn't sleep and y-you were so s-still I wanted to check y-you were breathing!" He explained rapidly, no hint of a lie in his words.
