"Sho' petite, jus' not all err...fancy-like?" That was the best way he could put it. One could just throw the cards like normal, but they wouldn't behave the same way they did when he charged them. It was harmless enough, right?
Taking a deck out of his coat pocket, he pat the cushion next to him on the couch, encouraging her to sit, "Yo' Daddy run off 'gain?" Figuratively and literally in this case.
Luna frowns for a moment, unsure if Remy had agreed to teach her or not due to his thick accent. She quickly gets her answer, however, when he gestures for her to come and sit beside him.
The invitation brings a bright smile to her face, and she quickly makes her way over to the couch. At Remy's question, she simply shrugs.
“Yeah, he said he had an emergency to deal with.”

Luna holds her aunt in a tight embrace for a few moments longer, savoring the comfort of being back in her aunt’s arms once again. She had been looking forward to catching up with her all month. “You know...I’m probably getting too big to be called ‘little’ anymore." The teenager teases lightly as she finally pulls away from the hug.
Telekinesis:
Luna treats telekinesis less like a superpower and more like an everyday convenience. Why stand up to put a book away when she can lazily flick her fingers from across the room and have it slide perfectly back into place? Why drag a chair over to reach the top shelf when she can just hover the object gently into her hand while continuing whatever she was doing in the first place.
Which honestly makes the more serious moments with her powers more intimidating. One second she’s stealing the TV remote from across the room, the next she’s stopping someone in their tracks or unlocking doors without even touching them.
And she absolutely recreated the dancing scene from Matilda at least once. Fully committed too, floating random objects around her room like she was starring in her own magical montage.

"It was one hundred percent your idea to play-" Billy laughed, checking in with his cards again. Judging by the dwindling supply of cards in the deck and Luna's rapidly growing hand he made an educated guess, "Ace of hearts?"
“And I one hundred percent regret it.” Luna huffs while reorganising her deck of cards once again before tossing over the card Billy had correctly guessed. “I’m starting to seriously hate this game… nine of hearts?”
"That's they call a loaded question," Lilia replied wryly over her shoulder as she reached for the package where she had stored it in one of her many battered cupboards.
"But the honest answer is that it depends on the situation," she continued a she walked back over. "Not everyone who comes here is looking for the truth, and some truths..." Lilia sighed heavily. "Nothing good comes from sharing them. The trick is learning to know the difference."
“That must be a heavy burden to carry.” Luna frowns. While she cannot relate to being able to see someone’s future, she does know what it is like to sense how people feel and hear their thoughts because of actions they may take or things others may inflict upon them, yet not be able to do anything about it.
"So, how can you tell the difference?"
He's so pretty, I love him so much. I truly can't say it enough.

Billy glanced down at his cards, scanning over the values; He had a six of spades but not a seven. He grinned widely across the table at his cousin.
"Nope, go fish."
Luna makes a frustrated noise. “Whose idea was it to play this stupid game again?” She mutters under her breath as she reaches across the table to pick up another card for her slowly growing pile before nodding at Billy. “Your turn.”

Luna stares at her cousin with great focus. She had come over for a visit when they decided to play a game of Go Fish, with the biggest rule being no powers allowed to keep things fair. She was determined to win, of course.
“I’m gonna guess… Seven of spades?”

“I'm curious, when you give a reading,” Luna begins as she leans further back in the chair she’s currently sitting in while waiting for Lilia to retrieve the package her aunt had asked her to pick up for her. “How often do you actually tell the truth?”
