For caring enough to make up for those who just can’t care anymore. For workin’ your ass off even when people laugh at what you do like it’s a joke. For keepin’ on when it feels like you’re not doin’ anything right. (I know you have those days. I’m sorry. I didn’t know what to say to make them better, so I didn’t say anything at all.)
And thanks, too, for answerin’ my stupid questions. I know I’m not smart like you are. But you never treated me like I was dumb. That meant a lot.
When shit gets hard for you and you don’t think you’re makin’ any progress, just remember that you’ve made a difference in this world just by caring enough to try to find answers. And you’ll keep making a difference as long as you’re alive. Don’t doubt that.
