I have made myself obsessed with a Finnish metal band for the first time ever. It's the guitars, and vocals, they don't sound too typical, but actually something that I'm liking now.

This is a mixture of Finnish metal and "underworld schlager" for you. I'm just so obsessed with the guitars in this song.

Shuffle and lyrics tag

Thank you, @ladyinrosso. I don’t think I’ve done this one before. So, let’s dive right into this.

Rules: put your entire library on shuffle and name the first 5 songs and your favorite lyrics in those songs (if it doesn’t have lyrics, shuffle once more!!)

(Note: my entire library consists of round about 17.000 songs, so my computer would crash of if I put this on shuffle, hence I take my Mp3 player for that game)

1) Brothers by Elis: Wherever you go, they listen to you / A perfect body hides a perfect soul / One day to come they'll follow / Eternal truth will be our highest goal. [I don’t have a special connection to that song, so I just went for lyrics that sound cool]

2) Loch Lomond by Real McKenzies: The wee birdies sing and the wild guitars ring / And in sunshine the waters are sleeping / But the broken heart, it kens that we'll never meet again / On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond. [I really love that they changed the original lyrics into that guitar line. At least, I think that’s not part of the traditional song.]

3) Kuolleen miehen kupletti by Viikate: Ja mitä silloin pystyy vastaan sanomaan / kun kysyjä on mies joka kaiken opettaa / niin katson kuinka lasittunein silmin tuijottaa / ja tivaa "Juotko jo viinaa?" [What a cruel joke... a Finnish song without an English translation available. Finally, years and years of learning that language come in handy - NOT]

4) Biðröð Mistaka by Hatari: Ævistarfi raðað í kompuna, neðstu hilluna / ólesnir rykfallnir doðrantar. / Dagur sérhver / biðröð mistaka. // Your life’s work arranged in a storage room, on the lowest shelf / unread, dusty tomes. / Every single day / a line of mistakes. [As an academic working in academia I can fucking feel this line... and dude, it hurts]

5) Of Sirens, Vampires and Lovers by Me And That Man: I dreamt you were a siren / And you sang your strange songs to me / I felt a strange kind of magic / And dived into your deep black sea. [Just beautifully atmospheric and dark, isn't it?]
